Here’s the main issue we have.
The vault is a lottery machine. Gives you up to 9 choices. But it’s still a lottery machine.
RNG is what blizzard believes to be a key to their game’s fun factor. To open the chest and expect the unexpected. To finally get that piece you want. They’ve been doing it since classic, so it must be true.
What they fail to realize is that how much RNG has changed throughout the years.
In classic, you want something? You go and finish that boss. You either get it or don’t. But the source is that BOSS.
In retail. You kill that boss. You kill 3~4 other bosses. You get a mediocre version of that item or you get one of the other 4 boss loots available or you don’t get anything.
It’s a 2 layer RNG.
But that’s not an actual decent item. your main upgrade is the vault.
So you have to hope for the vault to drop from your specific dungeon and from your specific boss and be that specific item you’re looking for.
That’s 3 layers of RNG.
It’s SH%T. It’s not enjoyable.
They’re introducing valor, yet it’s still a downgrade in comparison to the vault and it requires a significantly higher contribution. keystone master to upgrade it to 220? Is this a joke? Not to mention, IT’S STILL 2 LAYERS OF RNG. for a system that specifically was asked as a method of targeted gearing.
Honestly, any solution or suggestion you have is pointless.
Blizzard has this idea stuck into their CORE. They think RNG is necessary. They won’t listen. They won’t care. They won’t change.
It’s pointless to bother, because they’re the most stubborn game designers ever. And often, for the worst.
