Can an item be looted from a boss in the great vault if you have not killed him on higher level difficulty? For example if you killed 9/9 normal and 7/9 heroic that means you will have 3 items in vault from heroic. So can an item drop from the last boss Fyrakk in the vault if you have no kill on heroic?
To be honest i have no idea, but i think i heard people once in Discord talk about this and they said you can’t, only recently have i gotten back into raiding, so yeah.
I dont think so tbh. You can only get from loot from the bosses you killed.
I also heard that if you for example killed the 5th and 6th boss then you can get loot from 1-6th boss. It was made to prevent people from “sniping” specific boss loot. But this is unconfirmed info as much as I heard from other posters. IF this is not true, then by all means feel free to correct me.
To my knowledge the way it works is that if you killed a boss on normal difficulty, then you get its loot table unlocked for the vault from that point on. This works on the reverse as well, so if for example you kill Fyrakk before killing any boss opens the loot table of every boss for your vault.
The only exception to this are tier pieces. Even if you did not kill Fyrakk on heroic, if he would drop a specific tier piece then that can drop from your vault.
This is a unique exception only for tier pieces. Mind you if you killed Fyrakk once on normal if you have a slot in your vault open for normal you can still get the normal version of Fyrakk’s loot table in it.

If you’ve killed a particular boss on normal difficulty, you can get loot from any boss UP TO THAT ONE in the vault for normal difficulty.
If you’ve killed a particular boss on heroic difficulty, you can get loot from any boss UP TO THAT ONE in the vault for heroic difficulty.
If you’ve only killed up to Smolderon on heroic difficulty, you can’t get heroic loot from any boss past Smolderon for heroic.
