Great Vault tiers and slots

I’m looking at the options in the Great Vault right now and I have no idea about the choices. According to my eyes, I have these options for rewards to choose from:

2 Delves at Tier 7
4 Delves at Tier 6
8 Delves at Tier 4

It also says that the Tier 7 will increase to Tier 8 if I complete a Tier 8 Delve, which happens to be false since I just did one. I’ve done 10+ delves this week.

But my real question is this: why wouldn’t I choose the Tier 7 item from doing 2 Delves? Why would I choose the Tier 4 item from doing 8+ Delves? What is the logic with respect to these three slots?

The logic is, if you can do 8x T8 delves just do that and don’t worry about the rest

The logic is the first slot is based on your 2nd best delve, the second slot is based on your 4th best delve, and the third slot on your 8th best delve.

If you do 8 tier 8 or higher delves, you will have tier 8 options in all three slots =)

It should increase if your two best runs are tier 8 or higher.

I think of it as all of my delves and world activities being put in order of best to worst, and then placed in the slots from left to right in that order. Then for each slot, you get a reward based on the WORST of your activities that were assigned to that slot. For example if your best two activities are a tier 8 delve and a tier 7, slot one will give you a reward based on the tier 7. If you do a SECOND tier 8, your reward for slot one will be based on the tier 8.

Why wouldn’t you choose the tier 7? If it’s not and upgrade for you, but the other slots are.

you need 8 tier 8s. its the lowest of the top 8

you need 2 / 4/ 8 dvelves of a kind to unlock the gv slots.

so to unlokc 1 T8 gv slot you need to clear 2x T8 dvelve
