Greater Holy Nova idea

Edit: The previous version was overpowered so I scaled it down.

A big ache of Holy Priests in M+ is our lack of AoE healing. I’ve been thinking about ways to improve it as well as making our talents more useful.

The first talent to change is Renewed Faith:

It is a mandatory talent that provides barely any benefit as we don’t actively cast Renew. So I thought to change it into something more useful:

This change itself isn’t very significant, until we get to the next talent - Holy Mending:

This is the other choice talent to Benediction and it is dead because there is no build that revolves around actively casting Renew. So I thought to change it into something better:

This would greatly improve the healing of Holy Nova while doubling its charging time, making it more of an impactful cooldown.

Let’s get to some healing numbers (all calculations are based on my character - 620 ilvl, 5.636k HP):

No Bonus Baseline increased by 50% Rhapsody charged to 800% bonus
No Rhapsody 23.476 23.476x1,5= 35.214
Full Rhapsody 23.476x5= 117.380 35.214x5= 176.070 35.214x9=316.926 (5,6% of my HP)

This would make Holy Nova a nice 40 sec. CD.

To further incorporate it into our kit, Greater Holy Nova could be eligible for Resonant Words bonus to create a short combo:

This would bring the spell to nice (316.926x0,4= 126.770+316.926=) 443.696 healing (7,9% of my HP).

By the way, Sanctify currently heals for 266.764, if it were to be increased by 100% (as I suggested previously) so it would actually do some visible healing, it would bring its value to 533.528 (9,4% of my HP).

This would give us a solid tool for dealing with AoE damage.
