Greed is unattractive

Sad thing about respect (esp when it comes to companies) is…it is hard to earn and only takes the change of wind direction to lose it.

I have mixed feelings. Personally I do not mind that they don’t, but obv it would be a great gesture. You claim that only 1 or 2% of their cashflow goes to the employees, which may be right, but uhm … it sounds a bit low.

I do know, however, that business finances are complex. What seems easily possible may not be easy to get sorted.

So kudos if they do offer any reduction, but I would not be mad if they did not either.

Yeah they are. My employees and their families are grateful too.

Ok here is my emphaty…

First an old staying: give a man a fish and feed him for one day, teach a man to catch fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

So here is my emphaty: want free wow? Farm Gold, buy Token.

I agree… but what if they only have a few days left on their current sub?

The AV korrak event was super fast in looms and an xp flask. Just moved with group and the xp was insane.

or what if their sub expired

some people dont have empathy its sad but it is what it is.

It’s easy not to care when your sub isn’t at risk of running out :woman_shrugging:

I have always been a generous person in WoW - hitting up starter zones giving bags and a bit of gold. I just like to help people out.

We are talking 10 euro here… If someone cant afford that… Than we should start sending food, not free wow…

You make a title calling Blizzard greedy, you want free game time out of them. The forum has had a few threads like this. This is all the same

They didn’t give people free game time, they gave us something much better. A buff that allows us to level 100% faster. This is far more valuable as a customer than one free month of game time.

Those who struggle financially can farm gold in the game and play for free. A system that has existed in the game since Warlords.

Many of us have been hard up in life at times, we may have to tighten our belts. I have never begged or demanded freebies though.

Or maybe they were going home and their car broke down and OMG won’t somebody think of the children.

This is getting funny actually. Who would’ve thought online begging could be so entertaining.

I mean, most 1st world countries throw ~30% of their food in the trash.

Food shouldn’t really be a concern either.

U should teach your friends to make gold.

Nothing wrong with helping and giving, but teaching them is much more valuable.

If you cant handle WoW for a month or two just quit WoW till your income is back.

Start any FREE 2 play game to kill some time meanwhile.

Solved.

I believe the mans point is:

A lot of people who have been loyally subscribing through the years, ups and downs, might not be able to pay subscriptions in the coming period.

At the same time many of this people are or will be unemplyed, quarantined, sick ++

Easying the burden by letting them play for this period is not much to ask. 100% xp just seem like a trick to get more subscribers. Cause they know many people have more time at home now.

i totally agree with the op here.

How about you teach yourself basics of economy?
More farmers = cheaper mats = more "expensive " token

I agree on that one

To some people 10 euros are a lot more then it is for others.

And for those people its gonna be even more in the coming period.

We are all different and we all have different opinions. I am fed up with seeing threads demanding freebies.

The buff may not be what everyone wanted, I certainly appreciate this a lot more than a free month. This is giving people stuff to do.

Yes this is on par with that event. The Korrak’s AV saw me go from 19 max levels to over 40, I got all my heritage armours done.

Now I have a Vulpera, Mechagnone and the forum guild character to do and it’s flying by.

tldr

is this thread too about how magnificent you are at the game?

I went to the local supermarket this morning, I have used this same supermarket for a number of years now so I guess I would be considered a loyal customer. They didn’t offer me a months free groceries, in fact they even had restrictions on how many items I could buy on certain products. Oddly I wasn’t shocked by this and I didn’t accuse them of being greedy, I was just grateful they were open and I could purchase necessary items.

The fact that Blizz gave something i.e. the buff is a nice gesture yet it gets little appreciation. You do realise they did not have to do this?

WoW is a game, as much as we all enjoy it if you couldn’t play for some time you will survive and there are free games out there to keep people occupied.
