why are there THIRTEEN different drops in grim batol?
2 weapons, 2 chests, 2 cloaks, THREE rings.
2 trinkets, one of them being the worst trinket ever imagined by a human being, and then a bis.
ye imagine the luck you need to loot what you want in this enjoyable and balanced instance.

Never bothered to count them but damn…
I honestly have no idea how that compares to other dungeons.

No wonder it’s so hard to get the trinket to drop!
Im still using the veteran track one i got traded to me, its just that good
I only just replaced my veteran one yesterday. Was a good day!
13 drops are from mistweaver POV. it varies abit but its ALOT for all.

Most dungeons are in the 7-9 range. Grim batol is 11+ for everyone, with some specs going to as many as 15.

What a tragedy. Blizz should fic this immediately and send everyone the trinket. am I getting this fake outrage right?

doing a bit of maths and i hope it is correct.
there is about a 20% chance to get a drop from a m+. if you are lucky then there are 13 possible drops giving each item a 1.54%ish percent of dropping if they had all been equal.
but looking for the reported droprate corrupted egg shel has about a .48% and gale of shadows doesnt even have one, but if i do the math correctly it comes out to the egg shell having about a .096 droprate and i think gale of shadows will be close to that.
this has been calculated for the 13 items for mistweaver and if i was wrong somewhere or you want how i calculated it just let me know
The idea that you could run GB 100 times and never see trinket is insane to me. How have they not created a badge/currency system where you can straight up BUY the item you want/need yet?

2/5 not 2/10. There’s 5 people, two drops, doesn’t matter which of the two you get because it could be either, none, or both.
1-(4/5x3/4)
They don’t do that because they want you to farm your BiS gear as long as possible because the longer you’re farming, the longer you’re playing, the longer you’re subbed.

I would agree however, just speaking the drop itnis impossible for us to get both (unless traded) thus bringing is back to a 1/5 because while you can only get one, it might roll for both (like double drop raid loot) the other one falls off as soon as you get one and thus you have to count both seperately. Like for instance legagy loot. If something has a 1% drop chance but the boss drops 5 things because 25 player it is 5 times a 1% chance not a 5% chance sadly
i should be, but im not.
i now consider this trinket a myth. its something a few blessed individuels have not unlike frodo and the one ring.
3 caster weapons.

My poor guildy farming the trinket from GB:

yea i gave up trying to get the GB trinket, and managed to get the Shard from SV instead
The odds of getting an item are 1 minus the odds of not getting an item. The odds of getting nothing are 4/5 for the first one times 3/4 for the second because the same person can’t get both items.
