Grim Patron lore.... EVERYONE, GET IN HERE

Hello everyone!

Wanted to ask a question about something lovely and brilliant… Who some know them as who yelling:

EVERYONE! GET IN HERE!

Yes, Grim Patrons
Wanted to ask, as i haven’t got much information on sources, that what is their lore and story?
Are they anything special?
As if i myself create a Dark Iron, I’d like it be a Grim Patron

Thank you!

They’re Dark Iron, who regularly drink at the Grim Guzzler, the bar inside Shadowforge City. More or less constantly drunk dwarven brawlers.

CHARGE FORWARD!

My blade be thirsty!

I think a grim patron is probably something you could plausibly make as a basis for an RP character. Drinking is definitely a part of dwarf culture, so having a character that celebrates drinking makes sense to me, but I would recommend being careful with Hearthstone overall- the cards aren’t strictly canon to Warcraft lore, and kind of exist in isolation.

That being said, if you really wanted to fit with the theme of everyone’s favourite warrior card, you could maybe integrate the idea of a drinking party/group into your character’s backstory. Pile on indeed.

Och Laddie, is that the Grim Guzzler? Tavern of the ancient dwarven kings?

For a reference, Grim Guzzler is accessible for Dark Iron Dwarves through their mole machines. Like the entire instance, it’s filled with friendly NPCs.
Notably, you can find Mistress Nagmara and Plugger Spazzring selling his wares there. You can even set you HS there. As far as I can tell, all other NPCs and scripts known from the dungeon version are not there.

Given the instanced nature of both versions of Grim Guzzler, I don’t see bright future for a Grim Patron character.
Nonetheless, I encourage you to prove me wrong.

The Dark Iron racial version of the Grim Guzzler is accessible and Dark Iron warlocks can summon non-Dark Irons into it.

As for the Patrons, I do hope that once struck someone rping as a patron spawns another one.

This is a character concept that I can get behind.

Why haven’t we made a dwarven/gnomish event there yet?

Same with the Telogrus’ Rift, why haven’t we had a warlock/shadow priest meeting there yet?

Effort.

My hunter was temporarily a velf and kept my HS for Telogrus when I racechanged to a gnome. When I was extremely bored I had my gnome hunter walk around in Telogrus in a scuba diving set asking where the hell he is and acting extremely confused over how he ended up there.
