There’s a +16 stamina ring which is a reward from a quest chain, starting from a Grime-Encrusted Ring dropped by dark iron dwarves in Gnomeregan.
I haven’t received this quest item in the 6+ clears since I heard about the reward. Everyone else appears to receive it within their first 1-2 runs on every alt.
I suspect I deleted the quest item on my first few runs (thinking it was that generic grime-encrusted object), and I’m now ineligible to receive it again…
Has anyone else had similar experiences trying to get this quest item / ring?
Try looking in your quest log. Maybe you accepted quest and deleted the ring. Making you ineligible for a drop somehow.
Although I have completed the quest and I am still able to get one of the rings to drop.
If that is not the case try looking into the restore function to see if you can find it there.
I’ve looked through item restoration several times, it’s not there unfortunately. I remember thinking that anything “grime-encrusted” was useless junk in the first week or two, and just deleting anything like that from my bags.
My quest log is completely empty, I’ve checked my bags and bank.
I’ll try writing a ticket but I suspect I’m just going to be told “Aaaw better luck next run!”
It took my warlock 3 runs to see it. So it honestly just might be bad luck. You could try to convince your raid to spend a couple minutes killing the dwarves where the ambassador patrols that is like 12+ dwarves chances extra to see it.
Fair enough, well assuming I never deleted it, I’ve cleared it every week since the 2nd reset, how many clears that is - I’m not sure. It feels like I would have received it by now.
I can rarely get PUGs to kill the extra dwarves tbh. Perhaps I’ll have to “accidentally” ninja pull all the dwarves…
Sh*t happens and extra packs get pulled everyday, just be like “whoooops” ^^

I’d say do not rule out the possibility it is in fact dropping, but just someone is not looting the corpses…
I can hold my hand up and own this one because the only time I stop moving is giving the casters/healers a couple seconds to drink before the last couple bosses
(it keeps the clear reasonably short, raid enjoys the pace and frankly, its more enjoyable as a tank too)
Remind people to loot the bodies over the course of the raid and get back to us with how quickly this illusive grime encrusted turned up 
Does it work like that? I might only see the quest item once other people have looted the corpses?
Yeah unless the loot is on FFA, I think the person who has the loot tagged to them has to loot first, unlocking the loot for everyone else. Similar to if you are , for example, 10/10 Twilight Insignias or have completed the quest, other people that haven’t can scavenge your lootable corpses after you’ve looted them for a quest item. You will not see the item however, only those that are on the quest and still need the loot to complete it will see the item.

In other news, a GM replied to my ticket after almost a week, he suggested to speak to the quest giver or check my bank for the quest item. Thanks for that!!

After another 7 day wait, a GM finally replies and suggests I look for an answer on Wowhead or the forums.
