Grimrail Depot on M+

I really enjoy playing m+ content, but Grimrail Depot on Season 4 seems like it’s going to be a hell of a dungeon to play through, especially through the train wagons.

I know the player base voted for it but I cannot fathom how it’s going to work out through Storming, Necrotic, Sanguine, Spiteful, Explosive and Quaking weeks on Grimrail Depot, since the train wagons are a bit narrow to work around aforementioned affixes.

Could a possible affix revamp/rework fix this? What are your thoughts?

The affixes aren’t going to be a problem.

The whiplash-inducing zooming in and out unless you use awkward camera angles is what’s bad about grimrail becoming a m+ dungeon. Like, tol dagor has nothing on grimrail depot in that regard and tol dagor was pretty bad, but grimrail is worse.

If I had to guess, the people who voted for it don’t really play much M+ and can’t properly picture the dungeon in a M+ setting. They just voted for it because it’s a cool and unique dungeon, which it undeniably is, just not for M+.

They nerved Tazavesh into the ground because they didn’t like participation rates. It will be the same for Grimrail if it turns out as badly as you fear. Don’t worry.

They didn’t vote fore it sincerely, they voted out of trolling and to cause grieving because they are against old dungeons in m+ .
Yes they admitted here on forums.

This is not about difficulty but about the dungeon layout and how it fundamentally works. Making it easy won’t make it any more enjoyable.

The vote on this was 100% to troll people…

That’s my main concern actually, the train wagon phase and the inability to run away during Necrotic and kite through Sanguine is going to make it much harder for everyone in the group, especially healers and tanks

Wish they would stop with having “mega-dungeons” and dungeons that you can skip mobs.

Mega-Dungeons are just two dungeons slapped together for reasons, while mob-skipping just ends up causing rage when one unfortunate player accidentally pull something.

Branching paths are still welcome though.

Isn’t worse than the corridor at the end of Sanguine Depths; you can kite backward everywhere or just deal with the stacks differently; reset them with flask, AoE stun the mobs and those channeling the flame thrower won’t apply necrotic stacks in the first place.

most likely meme votes because that was the most disgusting dungeon ever created in wow history. Everbloom was so much better choice…

I see it more like a protest vote from people who have been left feeling jaded from their won experiences in M+.

It’s going to be really dumb, I can’t wait.

Last time we had a WOD Time walking and playing through this Dungeon, I actually paid attention to it and actually that this will be a great one for M+. Especially going through the Train Wagons. An interesting challenge imo.

And I hate the WoD dungeons.

So, just disregard how bad the camera is in there?

I didn’t notice and bad camera.

But if you’re talking about the Travel sickness caused by the movement of the train. Blizz said they put an on/off switch in for that.

grim was cool dungeon, anoying but cool anyway.

as for the afixes… yeah they gona be alot of “dead” grimrail keys, not because they are impossible or hard but because of the extra anoyance it will be to deal with some afixes in the train part

Can confirm that was my reason for voting on it.

I would have been happier with M+ dungeons from TBC or Mists  but not WoD. They were all awful.
