Gtx 1660ti & ryzen 5 3600 with 2k monitor

hello! I just ordered a 2k monitor for the first time in my life and I am currently waiting for it to be delivered and I am very excited  . I wanted to ask if anybody knows if I can play with a gpu gtx 1660ti and cpu ryzen 5 3600 on 2k? at least with 60 frames? thanks!!

really bad idea. I have 3060ti and intel i5 13400f and play full hd resolution but max quality, and still in LFR or open world events with 40-45+ people could be 45-50 fps.

I forgot to mention, I want to use low-medium settings

then might works good, but hontestly I dont see any reasons to play 2k but low-mid settings.

well I can’t afford a new gpu but I want a 2k monitor, especially for 3d modelling and skyrim and wow ofc hahah

in raid and dungeons you will be more than fine, in world you should be fine & valdrakken = :skull:

wow is cpu heavy so you should be fine here

im play with a 1050ti and a 7700hq cpu and sometimes hit 60 fps you good to go

I recently upgraded my cpu/mobo/ram to ryzen 7600x and ddr5, but with the ridiculous gpu prices atm, i am still using my 1070ti and i refrained from buying a 1440p monitor, and will stick with 1080p for the time being. I dont think the higher resolution is worth the performance drop. I would not go 1440p unless i had a RTX 3000 series at minimum, but then again, 50-60 fps is not enough for my taste, i like to stay at 100 or higher.

I use a 2k monitor, and have a gtx 1660, and it’s working just fine for me with 60+ fps, on high settings :slightly_smiling_face: my cpu is a i7 10th gen, so I’m not sure how much of a difference that makes.

It’s really only the new emerald dream zone I have experienced my PC struggle  but based on other peoples feedback, I’m not alone. :slightly_smiling_face:

Low settings on 2k would be like buying a cheap 1080hz monitor…
It work but your best option is watch a video on 2k low settings vs 1080 high settings and make your mind up…
Me personaly I would buy a decend 1080 on play on high settings vs 2k on low… It be like buying a 4k monitor and playing half life 1… You would hate it, trust me…

I’m using a Ryzen 5 3600 and gtx1660 super. Best bet is to use the recommended ingame settings and cap the fps at 60. Also screen resolution is 1920x1080. You’ll get a solid 60fps in most zones possibly apart from Emerald Dream.
