When I make groups and people apply, I often decline people if I’m looking for something specific. I hate it when I apply and people just leave me hanging in the application queue, like if you don’t want me, decline me so I can look elsewhere.
I just don’t think being declined is always bad, I see it as more respectful of someone’s time if its done quickly.
Update. KSM done ! Still got declined for a lot of groups. Maybe the reason is our lack of dmg, but our survival is the best.
Yes survival is the best, only tank that can take it to the face. Just make sure to bring at least one hunter or rogue for MD’s. Will make your life much easier. It’s not fun chazing after mobs spamming maul instead of ironfur while getting clapped in the butt 
Also the game works a bit like brackets, people look for people around their own rating. Which means once you got ALL 15, or ALL 16, and try to break into the new “key layer”.
This is when the IO difference is the highest, queuing with people whom has 1 timed 16 and the leader who is trying to do his last 2x 16’s This will put you miles ahead of anyone in the queue who has never completed a key on that level.
Every time you have all keys in the same level, its a bit harder getting into the next bracket. This is ideally when you would do your own, till you have 2-3 keys in that level before joining others. Thats at least how I do it.

If you sort by all-tanks, you have top 20:
1 guardian
1 prot warrior
2 prot pallies
16 VDH
Now, yes. At the time of writing, there were only DHs and Dorki. Still, no monk or BDK, so guardian ain’t bottom.
That doesn’t make VDH the best, though. It just makes it the only one that brings the magic damage buff for the fire mages and the boomkins.

I play both guadian and vdh. Mostly vdh on higher keys.
And yes I feel more like a tank on druid, except when I fail my trash rotation during incarn 
I know. I just wanted to jump in ahead of the cries of ‘VDH is broken’ that tend to come when people see those stats.
I’ve started tanking on my druid recently (always played balance, but got tired of not being able to find a tank) and I’m amazed by how tanky it is in comparison. I’m used to having to run round like a headless chicken, trying to keep out of melee range but without moving the mobs out of the dps ground AOE, but on the bear, I can just… stand there. It’s a strange and refreshing experience. Now if they could just improve threat generation…
Guardian was my main at the start of the expansion, I only moved to VDH after a couple of months because of the threat issue and being more difficult to kite. The changes they made a few months ago reduced the need to kite even more but the threat issue still exists and the amount of damage the guardian does is still too low, which would help with threat if fixed.
I have both a 1.5k rio VDH and bear, in the higher keys the bear does more dps then VDH. As my bear does not need to kite and can face tank everything.
Interesting to know, I’m not at your level and I don’t often have to kite on my VDH or at all on my Guardian unless extra packs are butt pulled by other party members.
