Hey all, I know I’m only 51 ATM but I feel so squishy some times, sometimes I can chain pull instances and be fine, other times I chain pull 2packs and nearly die even with cooldowns. Does this get better or am I doing something wrong?
Guardian Druid is definitely a class where you have to think ahead. Its unlike Paladins and Warriors Who seem to be invincible in comparison. There some good guides on YouTube and look up Wowhead and the Druid Discord for info.
Saying that i love my Guardian druid over my Paladin and Warrior tank alts…
Its all about knowing your cooldowns and don’t be crazy with your pulls.
Stick with it and your have a blast.
Also there’s the werebear look reward from the mage tower challenge.(you may go crazy tho)
Good luck
Lat night got bored, and decided to go to MT, I was expecting to have same pain I have had back in legion, no, I got it from the 2nd try, could have gotten from the first try if I wouldn’t mess up with the infernal’s kicks off the plat form.
At level 51 up to 70 do not expect anything, you will feel squishy, or no survival or so.
I keep saying this, but there is no bad class, there are bad players. Just wait till you hit 70, gear up and check whether you really like it or not.
that is, the balance, in your opinion, is perfect in the game.
no, it’s not.
What?
My first ever 18 key was timed with 413 ilvl, (last week) what are you talking about?
https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-gb/character/eu/tarren-mill/bovalu
Ever since that nothing much has changed.
I’m talking about this.
if there are no bad classes, as you claim, then the balance is perfect.
but the balance is not perfect, which means that there are bad classes.
just logic )
No, it wasn’t. Your first timed +18 was Underrot at 23:15 on 3rd June. Your ilvl was 423.
The rest of the group (aside from the rogue was 10 to 15 ilvls higher), which means trash will have melted and made it easier for you to survive.
That said, I note that the several small changes guardian has received have made it a lot stronger than it was. Which is fantastic news for bear mains.
What I am saying is, a class can be OP but if the class is not for you will still suck at it.
Literally got to 423 after I started playing tbh.
I even have a this from the healer.

what changes ?
All the changes that have been made since DF launched in November last year that have taken it from barely viable to holding 3 of the top 20 M+ rankings.
Surely you’re not expecting me to list all of them?
So in your opinion the bear is trash, but on the top 5 tanks 2 of them are bears. kekl.
Well, the healer had 15 ilvls on you, so I’m not surprised. A lot of people think you need much higher ilvl to time keys at that level.
And the ilvl RaiderIO logged was what your character had equipped during the key.
understand
no, my opinion is only that there are stronger classes, and there are weaker ones.
You sure about that?
Cuz I crafter my 2 items after I timed the key, which pushed me to main my druid. After which I also farmed the onyx ring as I had no onyx that time.
The cloak dropped to druid, which they traded me after the key, but in rio it shows as if I had it.
So it been 5 days ago, and by that logic I would be still 423 ilvl? Because I literally got to 423 by upgrading my neck and my shoulders from the vault yesterday.
Meh, maybe I’m wrong, but that doesn’t change the fact that it was the characters with higher ilvl killing trash fast that enabled you to survive. Claims that ‘I tanked that at low ilvl, so my class is very strong’ are only valid if the whole group was low ilvl. In your UR run, 3 of the group were overgeared for the difficulty.
First of all, I never claimed the guardian to be OP, what I said is that it depends on how the class is being played.
You keep saying the people had better ilvl and etc, but it does not change much, as a tank I need to survive and keep the agro on me as well. Because their gear and dps takes away the agro.
I literally sent you the screenshot of the healer, because it took me 1 hour to form the group as people were leaving seeing my ilvl.
This is true. Presumably, that’s why you chose to invite a hunter and a rogue who both have tools to transfer their aggro to you, as well as tools to drop their own aggro or survive face tanking mobs for a short time.
Damn you will find any excuse possible just not to accept that the player matters.
Your first 18+'s where tanked while having 426 ilvl, so please.
They were. But I’m not the one claiming to be something more than an average player.
Someone at that rating is expected to know how to play, to begin with, instead of getting carried by some meta specs. Even with more DPS, you will not survive as a healer/tank if you do not play appropriately to the key level.
The high ilvl (in this case the DPS) does not automatically mean a pumper, what you can really say is that both are a playing factor. Gear and skill. But skill is more important.
A good 430 Tank will stay more healthy than a 441 pepeg.
