First thing, that I’m gonna say is, that I’m posting this on both Druid and Demon Hunter forums to get opinion from both sides.
Now to the topic. I’m long-term Vengeance DH player, but also Guardian player. Now, as we all know, both of these specs aren’t performing that well. Don’t get me wrong, you can play them normally, but not to the best levels (and I’m not aiming here, just saying). My biggest problem here is, that I love these two specs at the bottom of one’s heart, but I just can’t stick to one. I am still logging of the Druid and playing Vengeance and vice versa. Could someone here convince me to play one? I’m not here to ask you what to play, I just need a little push.
So, why do you play Guardian/Vengeace and WHY? What made you stick to it, and why are you still playing it? What are your most favourite aspects of it?
Thank you so much for your opinions and asnwers, they really help me a lot.
Have a nice day,
A.
I enjoy the versatility of the druid and how certain traits can impact the way and style you play. Also, since Uldir ended they are more than viable but have suffered from poor player perception ever since. However, there were 3 Guardian druids in the top 23 Jaina Mythic kills so they are far from unviable and weak as oposed to vengeance which sadly was not even represented in the top world 140.
Also, the buffs that 8.2. brings are a big deal and will certainly make guardian a little more prominent in the higher echolon whereas vengeance buffs are not really too much a difference and barely adress the issues the class currently deals with.
That said, vengeance is a hell of a lot more fun to play and unless you plan on joining some high-tier guild you will have no issues in terms of being able to clear the content. Both classes do suffer from poor player perception though so you’ll have a hard time getting invited to pugs or finding a mythic guild either way.
My input may not be to great as I don’t push keys or do raids but just in case.
I searched high and low for a class in WoW back in TBC and honestly Druid never really grasped me so I decided to make one and they’ve been my main ever since.
Tanking as a Guardian Druid just feels great, running forward to shift into a bear then plow into all these mobs. It’s just absolutely fantastic.
I love the utility of Druid’s and the way you get all four specs.
Whilst Guardian can get a tad stale I’ll always stick by it because I personally have tremendous amounts of fun on it. Even when we’re down in the dumps.
I’ve always alt a pally but Druid is my number one and always will be. Even if right now I’m debating on staying Tauren or race changing to female troll
I started playing a druid by the end of Cata as one of my healing alts, Trolls were one of my favorite races so it was essential in my decision to roll a druid, also I have faced resto druids in arena since season 1 so I was mesmerized by their ability to heal on the move.
I started tanking with my Guardian in MoP, when we still were the dodge tank(dancing circus bears). It was always appealing to me to be the odd one out.
My main until early Legion was my DK but I grew bored of him after so many years. Druid was giving me more options to play with and started to intrigue me more.
I tanked with the Guardian during his lows, and then mid Legion came when he became a true beast.
I love playing as a Guardian because:
I love the lore of the class, and the class as a whole.
I love the aesthetic of being a solid unstoppable brick wall of muscle and fur/scale.
I love the idea of being the Den Father and assuming the role of protector of my pack.
I like a challenge, I tanked with the Guardian when he was in his lows(dodge days, and BFA) and his highs(Legion).
At the start of BFA I was deeply conflicted between playing my Paladin or my Druid. But as much fun I have playing my Paladin since I love the group utility and ease of play he brings(I’m a sucker for group utility), the Bear always wins me over as a concept in the end.
Well, I don’t like switching specs, I like to stick with one and play it good. DH is more enjoyable, Druid is little less, but still good. I have more IL on DH and have completed almost everything, so switching is little painful. I think that I will be the little awkward kid playing his game, but thanks
P.S. I am a BIG transmog lover and druid kinda kills it. Not trying to say that artifact forms are trash, I personaly like them a lot, but I made one hella sexy transmog for DH.
