It’s a frustrating game of how many minutes can I stay logged on before the ground swallows me and I have to reroll
Have been in most of the betas and alpha in legion. Im realy a nobody and that means that anyone here has a chance to get an invite.
Yes we know you rubbed it in enough ![]()
I had Legion Beta, bfa alpha and beta. Have played since TBC.
People should stay hopeful… anyone can get it.
How was that?
Was it like bfa alpha with falling through the world every 5 minutes?
I rather share a kebab with you .
I’ve gotten into a few alphas.
Prolific or even somewhat prolific posters on sources that Blizzard read do get more invites, because they know we’ll want to talk about our experiences, which is also known as feedback, and therefore exactly what they need.
I got invited to BfA too. And you did. I think loads of people here might have.
None of my guildies did - or at least not that I know of. Some of them got beta though.
Yeah, we’re not YouTubers or streamers or Method or other world famous rank 1 players or WCS champions or whatever, nor are we (at least most of us) friends of Blizzard directly, but you can bet there’s a higher chance for a forum poster than most others.
My theory is it was because I do a hell of a lot of questing in the game, as I enjoy that more than anything else.
Well that needs testing, too.
Blizzard want a broad range of players in the alpha (and beta), but the most important demographic is just people who talk about the game a lot. That’s the bottom line.
My best friends been in most if not all betas since MoP, he doesn’t post on forums and mostly just reports bugs so, the whole “prolific posters” isn’t entirely accurate while not being entirely wrong either.
It’s just draw of the luck. I’d wager though most of the reasons I don’t get into beta is due to my awful forum behaviour in '12, but thankfully times change and I just hope the people who do get beta actually bug report and provide feedback.
Some of your posts should get noticed more especially regarding immersion and similar topics .
Also like your new forum char.
I’d never get it for that - I moan far too much!
No not true i get them and look at my history ![]()
We know your secret then, moan enough ![]()
God I wish it was me, had quite a few forum vacations in the past and even had to appeal once!
But yeah I’m at the point if I get beta I get it and if I don’t then don’t x]
I could also do like a dwarven mage did back in… MoP? who kept posting until he eventually got beta, MSPaint doodles and all.
I wish you luck i hope you do get it and i like your posts.
Not a big fan of them using betas for promotion by inviting all kinds of dbag streamers but it is effective.
Don’t go from this to this:
It’s obviously not luck of the draw. He’s sending them feedback. Dude was lucky once. He keeps getting invites because he keeps going in and reporting bugs.
Blizzard invite people based on how much they post on sources Blizzard reads. Those sources may be ones we read, too, but they don’t have to be.
Ty xD
I swapped forum main cause I swapped in-game main. Just kindda happens. Felt like playing some Mage again and this here bear has been my mage since MoP. Used to be frost though so I painted the hair red instead of blue now that I’m be fire. xD
I see you got the whole Legion look. Appropriate for a warlock.
As for the posts, I’m glad you like them. I like yours too when you aren’t accusing me of yelling. I’m trying to keep the random emphasis down because it did give the whole thing a bit more of an aggressive tone than intended I realised, but now we’re past all that.
And yeah, I think immersion, or what might otherwise be called “universe-logic” or something, is very important. I want the world and the gameplay I explore to be deeply tied to my eyes into the story - and my eyes are the eyes of my character. Fail at that, and I’m gonna come into the forum and moan. ![]()
And Blizzard are definitely failing at that in BfA. Was a bit better in Legion, only let down by the space ship with no capacity yet 4 million people on board, as well as having 500,000 Ashbringers simultaneously. Still better than 5 million specially chosen Champions of Azeroth…
Last time where I can genuinely say they did it perfectly was in MoP, but all the expansions prior to that did it very well also.
If you just moan randomly then you’ll never get in. If you actually put some thought into your moaning and why, then you might.
I did a lot of actual bug reporting too. Amazing how many that get in that just spam chat with wow sucks and my class is ruined.
I’m just honest (imho).
2nd half of alphas get some strangers invited (I am complete stranger, I have 0 personal contacts with Blizzard) , but normally to test very particular things, and in very controlled environment. And often despite NDA’s and things, there isnt even much to talk about in public anyway.
Not all streamers are beta males
All “top streamers” who also magically already have their bis 470 Rank 3 Corruptions, Blizzard can rig any items for them to support and advertize their failed expansion.
