[Guide] How to buy the fox mount with gold

Alright lads, i’ve seen alot of complaining about that 25 euro costing sausage with a fox head attached to it making it look like a recolored firefox logo, so this is how it goes down, its super easy.

  1. Acquire the gold for 2 tokens, thats basicly the hardest part.
  2. Buy 2 tokens from the auction house.
  3. Use the tokens, simple as that
  4. A token will add 12.99 euros to your Battlenet funds (which is basicly monoply money with your native currency icon slapped to it. (12.99 x 2 = 25.98 and mount = 25)
  5. as this is written a token costs about… 210k, which means its 420k for the mount, find that expansive or to easy to get?
    The long boi has a flat cost of 5m
    there are multiple 500k costing mounts that are worth less effort.

Bonus: You can use this balance to buy other virtual goods and even other games and goods.
0% wallet, 100% playing the game.

Meh, i lack the gold, bet i just gonna buy some wow tokens for irl money, sell them on AH, get gold that way, then buy said wow token for the gold i earned from AH so i can get the mount!..genius!..ooh wait a sec :thinking:.

That is why i’m spreading the word, don’t waste cash, play the game and get the mount… 450k isn’t that much compared to the 500k costing reskin of a pandaria mount or the 500k costing russian egg with laser cannons.

truth is the mount should of been a rare farming mount. you know, the old days when people actually had to grind day and night for that one rare item?

Its not like he will tell how to get enough gold. And I think people who have millions of gold already know how tokens work.
It’s like that “how to draw realistic horse” guide:“draw a line. Add details and it’s done” :smile:

Problem is, making gold is too hard for a lot of players so they had to dumb that down too. They added the token to stop them using gold selling sites and making their accounts liable to attack.

To say thank you to blizzard for this the player base now complains when they add items to the shop which they can buy with the in game gold they make form selling the tokens on the AH. There is a vicious circle in there somewhere.

it has been there since token was introduced, it has its own category etc etc

They’re 2 different items.

Tokens when bought through the store are items that can be posted on the AH.

Tokens when bought from the AH can be used to add 30 days of gametime, or 13 euro’s worth of storecredit.

yes and the latter can be used to buy the store pets and mounts and even other virtual goods including games, so you don’t have to buy the token to get the ingame goods.

my post is about buying tokens with gold, not selling tokens for gold.
Also the token is tied to the game’s main currency, which is gold.
unlike most games you dont have to buy special coins to purchase the mount.

i can’t do math but sometimes i get the idea the entirety of general discussion is bloody illiterate.

I really don’t want to sound like an idiot.
But blizzard have been adding store mounts since Wrath. and the same threads about how bad it is are being made everytime they add a new one, so i really don’t think blizzard even read these or even cares about them.

And blizzard still adds a lot of mounts ingame, that isn’t store mounts.

do i support microtransactions? no. But a lot of games are doing it and i sadly think it’s here to stay. ATLEAST we get an option to buy it with gold, not many other games have that option.

so just go and spend the 400k if you want them mount. Atleast it’s better than some toad for 333k

Many people just “Reee!!!” about store mounts, either since they look pretty or that blizzard just want your money. Well At least WoW’s not a pay to win game, everything in the store are just either; time saving - level up boosts, char transfers etc. or pure cosmetic. It’s not even random in loot boxes, which some games find very lucrative.

Since the token, you can even achive these store mounts with farmable currencies… In game.

There is no pleasing people are there? The art team put in great effort into some “exclusive” mounts which are reasonably cheap compared to other “exclusive mounts” heck its basicly a frog(the frogs rocks) in costs and people don’t “Ree!!” about the 333 333 gold costs at that vendor.

What’s next? Anger management classes because Jainas frost elemental won’t drop in LFR?

when you buy a token with gold blizzard is still milking us for money cause someone paid money for it.

Not really and considering people buying tokens for gold are really good for the ingame economy I can’t really complain about it.
