Which guild auto invite addons ppl use in 8.3?

God I wish people would stop using those.
At least it isn’t so bad these days as when the Gleader could harvest tons of money from inviting rando’s and siphon from the auto-generated Gbank gold.
At that time you could make a new character and by the time the intro cinematic was over you were already invited to some random guild.
Best way to build a good community, invite literally EVEEEEEEERYONE.

Yeah that is why I usually decline, someone that can’t even put a little effort in the guild during the first few days is not interested in creating a good community after all.

Can you NOT get that addon?

I sort of wish auto decline guild invites were the default setting.

I by default put all my alts on not accepting guild invites if they are going to join on it will be the one my main is at and no other. A lot of guild invites well at least in my experience have been from people who just want to fill a quota and who are not interested in the people they are recruiting to it either.

I always accept the first invite for hs cd decrease and put the guild chat in a different window so i won’t be interacting with them

Yeah, I mean that’s probably the best reason to be in a guild. Not to interact with anyone.

You can change your settings so you can’t receive guild invites. You will still get the whisper though.

2-3 days ago i was on my paladin and i received three times the same whisper message shortly in a row as if someone misclicked it a couple of times. and it wasnt just a one-liner. they seemed to have exhausted the character limit for the text too by saying what they all offer n stuff like that because it almost covered my entire chat. i scrolled up and saw they sent me the exact message three times in a row and i was all like:

then i realised they spoke in 2nd person (polite/formal form of address in german) which made it sound like an advert straight from trade chat when i read through it.
means they didnt even bother to write something semi personal.

so who ever uses macros like these. stooopppp. pleeaasseee. :sob: :joy:

its annoying as is to get those whispers (have disabled guild invites already).
wished people would put more effort in it or preferrably quit using them all together.

I used to use mass inv addon, a couple guilds ago. Waste of time.

Guild/community finder is an improvement on what we had before, and I am getting some members (much more to my community) but a large % are the the same type of player that hits accept from the addon - no talkers. Overall, better than before and some interested members. Could build up!

Fun fact: if you start writing the “100 bottles of beer” song in guild chat, you usually get booted by the time you get to 90. Switching to another unguilded alt for the inevitable next invite from the same guy and then starting the song from 90 seems to make them stop with the invites for a while.
