In my case, and i’ve not loged on the char again, was just mats from 5 expansions
Hello,
Following numerous messages with blizzard’s internal customer service. They advised me to write on the forum and warn people.
At the end of DF, my entire guild bank was emptied due to a bug from blizzard, this is the same period as the launch of Warband.
Throughout the expansion, I farmed and bought lots of items in order to resell them when TWW came out.
However, after this bug, known to your services, these items were never given back to me… (Guild Bank Missing Items Bug - Aug/Sept 2024)
I farm millions of gold and craft a lot of orders. It’s the way I play.
Speaking with customer support, they told me that gold, items and blizzard wallets are not guaranteed. But that’s just stealing, since you can convert gold > $ and $ > Gold. So this system is a scam.
I’m thinking of no longer investing in this game, as the toxicity of the players is already too strong… but if on top of that, the publisher isn’t to be trusted…
I invite players who have the same problems as me to contact me. If there aren’t enough of us, we can do something about it.
Forgive my English, it’s not my native langage.
Have a nice day
So we still only have one case where someone actually got items restored?
Still nothing for me, so if blizzard don’t know how many guilds were affected how do they know which ones to restore.
I raised a ticket but the categories and the support system is particularly unhelpful, took me about an hour to work through to the point I could actually raise a ticket, even know I don’t know if they will just say wrong ticket type and close.
Will wait and see
As far as blizzard is concerned then for me at least I won’t be making any further purchases until we see something other than a we are sorry response.
I’m fairly sure they DO know how many were affected. It was something we were told early on, prior to THAT announcement, that we didn’t need to raise tickets for each guild because they could see who was affected on their system.
The fact that they could also return SOME items to some people suggests that they at least knew about those guilds, and I can’t see any reason why they would know about a scattered few, but not the rest.
Knowing which guilds were affected is different from knowing what items in those vaults were affected but I’m of the firm opinion that, even if they don’t KNOW what those items were, they could if they wanted to. They just don’t want to. Too much hard work.
$ vs loss I think is the math to the “new” Blizz. To me: 20 years of good feel ruined. I an us is NEVER EVER going to buy or play a Blizz game again. Rot in hell! I have a YT page open for a public petition ( The great Blizzard WoW Guild Bank heist) but so far, most is humble necked and keep eating sh@ite.
never… Blizzard = Scam
I lost all my items from a personal guild bank on one of my alts. Items kept from back WotLK days until today. Unobtainable stuff that I can’t really list by name, TCG pets. No promise to return anything.
In my country (Poland) there’s a very cool movie reference. In original it says: " Nie mamy pańskiego płaszcza i co pan nam zrobi?". In english it’s more-or-less: “We don’t have your coat, what will you do to us?”. The movie name is “Miś” from 1981. That’s the situation I came across. I can’t do anything and they don’t want to offer anything from their side.
How many more months will Blizzard go without barely a comment, heck even a “We haven’t forgot, we just don’t care that much right now!” would do.
My own Alliance guild bank still lays empty, I am scared to use it or put anything in it.
The bug with pets in guild banks is still there.
My pet banker’s guild bank has 50 or so pet cages that doesn’t show what pet it is, just shows a generic cage and the flavour text is “Pat cage - Use: Teaches you how to summon this companion” so not a single hint of what pet the cage contains which makes it really difficult to handle
7 GB tabs completely emptied. Nothing back as yet, still dont know if I will. Lack of Blizzard comment is frustrating to say the least.
Oh, hi Mark!
Completely forgot about this game, been busy enjoying other games.
I see they still haven’t said a word about this issue. So that means: to them its all good as no one pays attention to this and you’re all here still moaning about it on their own forums. And people like me have long gone so they moan less here and everywhere else.
Blizzard will still be on my blacklist though. So their loss.
To people, addicted to the game and struggling with this issue: Just drop them. Every day you care less and less.
Maybe see you in a few weeks again when I get randomly reminded of the game I used to play since 2004 and where I met my wife.
Same problem for characters bank. Over 1490 reagents items dissapeared from my bank! This is the second time this happens! Now happened on my main. Last time happened on one of my crafters. Can you please fix this game… it is getting buggier and buggier every passing moment. Raids bug, Dungeons bug, Bank bugs, Flying bugs (landing-bugs) … etc. And all these is what we can directly see… I don’t even want to think about bugs we don’t see like how u calculate damage and healling… and other…
Oxrey … are you saying you’ve had it happen recently, and to a character’s bank (not a guild bank)?
A family member had a full personal bank clear simultaneous to a full guild bank clear; it wasn’t due to people breaking into their account either, because 2 million gold was left in the guild bank (gold untouched, 7 tabs full of items cleared). Their gear and personal gold was also untouched. The only character of theirs that got a full personal bank wipe was the guild master of the guild bank that got a full wipe. I am the only other person in said guild, so it wasn’t due to guildies taking advantage of the broken guild bank logs either
[text above unchanged, but the text within these square brackets is an edit]
So that sounds like at least a few people are/have experienced character bank issues too. I’ve not seen that raised as a bug anywhere, so I’d suggest raising it both in-game and as a separate issue on the forums. Be CLEAR that it isn’t a guild vault, but a personal character bank. State when it happened too - if it was the same time as the bug related to this thread (ie, around the launch date of TWW), or different.
For the in-game bug report, I’d suggest it should be raised from the character who had the issue, just to help them track it down.
Still nothing returned and not a sound from Blizzard. We had stuff in the bank worth millions of gold and now everything is gone.
The pet Bug is still “on”… and nothing got back
still no compensation it’s a shame
I guess Blizzard obviously don’t care, but after this issue I completely lost all trust in Blizzard. I used to spend a lot of time in this game, but after losing almost everything in 4 guild banks, it completely killed my interest.
For years it’s been my favourite game, but why spend time collecting things if it can be taken away and we’re not even compensated.
Just an apology is honestly just shocking. Blizz don’t care about players and their time.
