I remember a game where guilds could make base, form it from recourses and plans, and now and then have to defend it from other guilds. Would be fun having a guild home, doing pvp.
Plenty of games did that almost two decades ago.
Star Wars Galaxies did this very good.
It was a different game than WoW. Open world sandbox where you could practically build your city/base anywhere but close to the big cities.
There were huge PvP wars with up to a hundred players on each side invading or devending a base.
This system wouldnt be implementable in wow.
I remember in Ultima Online guilds could have allies and enemies (other guilds). So everyone in The Happy Ducks guild would be red to everyone in the The Angry Raisins guild if those two guilds were at war.
Allied guilds would probably be something like a Community in wow, where they could chat etc.
Emenies were marked Red and they could fight each other.
Something like that might be fun in wow (altough not for me, I don’t pvp) but have friends and enemies in game might work for some players.
Or pve. Your guild base being attacked by some NPCs.
Different from Garrison invasions? Bigger? More mobs? More epic battles?
I was thinking of a nice home for the guild, where the guild needs to cooperate to build their base, guildleader choosing what to build from several alternatives. Guildbank as now could for example be changed so npcs sell gear in armor shop, with prize set by guildmaster, and so on. Walls could be made around the base, and everything being possible to be destroyed by waves of npcs, or other guilds now and then. Guild needs to defend the base, working together. Maybe a choice for the guild to join, like signing up for, with the possibility to get rewards? Would be more fun for guilds i guess. Maybe the possibility to create defending weapons and defensive aswell. Maybe the possibility for guildleader to pick out roles for the guildmembers inside the base? Punishment system with some effects for guildmembers breaking rules? Trophy showing/ extra upgrades when guild manage to do certain achievments? And so on… More epic battles yes.
Thanks for the clarification
And ofcourse the guild could choose to sign up for pvp or pve. Imagine signing up for pvp, and you se a map of the enemy base on one side and your guild base on the other. They are different maybe because of how you build it and much been buildt. You could have 1 guildteam attacking, and 1 defending.
Still got PTSD from WoD going after all the Garrison Invasion mounts…
