Until this morning I’ve been able to access my character calendar via the Internet using the following link : https://eu.battle.net/wow/en/vault/character/event
When I try and open this I am now being redirected to the World of Warcraft home page.
I use access to the calendar to organise raid nights with the other officers. All of us work 9-5, so being able to access this during the day is extremely useful.
I would check the World of Warcraft app, but having to scroll through multiple pages to see who is signed up is a pain (multiple screenshots to share with the other officers), and besides, it’s not even working at the moment.
If anyone could provide me with a working link to the calendar, it would be greatly appreciated

I think it’s just part of the slow discouragement of guilds, unfortunately. We’ve lost, amongst other things:
- Armories access to the guild vault history
- Armories access to recent character history
- Armories access to the guild calendar
- Default in-game access to a multi-sortable guild roster
- Default in-game access to the guild finder
- Various guild perks
- Highly configurable guild permissions options
I can understand these not being available in classic, but in retail, where everything is much more about “quality of life” changes … these changes all reduce the “quality of life” for guild masters.
As far as what is still available:
-
The in-game calendar is a joke that really requires addon assistance for anyone trying to regularly and properly organise guild events - and over time most of those addons that might help have fallen as Blizzard have regularly changed their API to break them.
-
The ability to recruit new members in a considered way is slowly being eroded as the guild finder is disappearing from view - albeit that was always in some ways broken from the start (I’m hoping that may improve some time later in this patch?); there are less ways to check Armories for information regarding new applicants and now they’ve also broken the census addon that used to help provide guild histories for applicants - all of which now cripple the ability to make informed decisions on people applying to your guild.
-
The guild roster interface has been simplified to the point of being almost broken - permissions have been dumbed down; the roster interface will only sort on one column at a time and even when you do sort it, as soon as someone goes on or offline, the roster automatically “re-sorts” randomly. It also relies on the Communities backbone … which on a fairly regular basis breaks down to the point where you can not even communicate to your guild members in guild chat.
I think the fact that you’ve been able to still access your calendar on the Armories for this long after it was removed from view is a bit of an achievement (I wish I’d known about it!).
Unfortunately I think the only thing you can do is find an alternative method and not rely on Blizzard at all for help with guild maintenance, because so far they’ve shown no indication that they’re ever intending to give guilds any more encouragement to exist.
I’d provide a link to the one calendar addon that (so far) still works but (a) I can’t do proper links here, and (b) I don’t want to encourage a witch hunt on the final addon left that helps me organise raids
The only thing I can suggest is using something like discord, and asking someone to do a screen grab of your guild calendar event and posting it on a fairly regular basis.
If you want any additional ideas, there is a guild leaders discord where you can exchange views and ideas with other guild leaders/officers in the same position as yourself: https://discord.gg/Vpbj8ES
