First of all PSA to all guild leaders.
If any rank in your guild had any of the permissions that are now part of a monolithic block, they will now have full officer permissions
Yes that means that if you even had Public Notes available for editing to a rank, now that rank has every officer permission.
The “new” guild control structure is a huge regression in functionality over the Wrath and previous classic settings.
To restate what Blizzard have done.
You can no longer configure any of these permissions separately
- Access officer channels
- Remove people from voice chat
- Delete other people’s chat messages
- Delete other people’s guild events
- View and edit officer notes
- Edit public notes
- Edit Guild Info
- Edit Message of the Day
To give any rank even ONE of those permissions (say you want members to have the ability to edit their public note, or a specific rank the ability to change GMoTD) you now have to give them ALL of them.
Or you want to give a rank ability to view officer notes, but not modify them.
How that makes any kind of sense is beyond me.
