Trying to create an alt guild for my family of characters and it’s so difficult due to sharding and phasing. The only way to try and get the 4 signatures is to post in Trade Chat and hope you get lucky. What is really frustrating is that you may get two signatures before everything dries up, you give up and have to begin again from the start next time you log in. If you start at peak time Trade Chat is so busy your post gets swamped and if you try off peak there’s not enough people online. The unicorn option is to find a player with multiple alts that is prepared to log in and out to provide the signatures before you die of old age.
I know this is a regular complaint but could Blizzard make it easier to create alt guilds? Maybe allow the alts themselves to sign the charter.
End of rant.

I don’t have a strong opinion on this, but anytime I did this
it was a pretty quick process. Some gold was involved, sure, but really not much
I also helped people with theirs and it seemed just as quick.
I believe that we should be allowed a lot more bank tabs per character, exactly to remove the need for guild banks which is why 90%+ of players want to create personal guilds in the first place. The Warbank is a good start.
I propose, instead of improving the situation of creating guilds, to instead allow purchasing more personal and warbound tabs but for the cost of what guild bank tabs cost.
Do what I did way back when: go to the starter zones and offer gold. Requiring four signatures not not hard.
I went around and asked those in front of me to sign the charter, in Orgrimmar.
I don’t really see the need for the guild charter anymore. I think it had a bit of a purpose in the old days when servers had their own little communities, and everyone knew each other and such. It helped create and foster those initial social patterns that would bond players together in a guild. Classic MMORPG design in a way.
It makes no sense anymore when everything is cross-server and you’re just looking for some random people to sign so you can create your guild and kick them out again. It’s a process of pure formality that’s mostly just annoying to go through – and it’s a little bit humiliating having to ask/beg people to sign your charter.
Just get rid of it and let players create their own guild if they want to. Put in a limitation of 2-3 per account if need be.

Yep It is quite easy these days .depends on the time and server though iirc .
I tried the starter zones but most/all characters were sharding from other servers and the only response I got was to offer 5k gold for a single signature. I guess the community isn’t as helpful these days.
I created 5 accounts for this purpose
Only for a month though. Made a few Guildbanks fast and easy.
Helped everyone that needed signatures while they were active
Don’t signatures delete themselves if the character log off?
5K isn’t that much these days.
Agreed, but I was on a dead realm back then…
With a new expansion now’s the time to make a guild with all the returning players.
