Guild dethrone not available

So after a 4 year break i came back to wow dragonflight. Now my problem is, I was the leader of the guild (The Wicked Ones) on my character named Oliverliam. I played together with Happyhunter from Aggramar but since i was inactive for 4 years the leadership went to Happyhunter and i was set back to the lowest rank which is kinda stupid. Now my problem is that i cant claim leadership back of my guild since Happyhunter is also inactive for 4 years now. Now the biggest problem is that when my leadership went to Happyhunter my own rank was set back to initiate which means i can’t dethrone Happyhunter to take back my leadership again.

So i really hope that you can help me with this as i want access to my guild again

Greeting Yuuta

You have to contact your Guildmaster through other means to request them pass the GM position to you.

Gamemasters will not assist with dethroning.

Edit: Proceed to make a ticket as Galcavon advised below, I’m interested as well to the ticket response.

Saneko’s mostly correct here, in that the rank requirements in dethrone situations can’t be bypassed. However, if you were the leader of the guild in the past, it would be worth making a ticket to see if there’s anything we can do. Can’t make any promises, though.

Greetings an Salutations,

I have opened several tickets in the past and added some suggestions in the “Feedback” thingy about this issue… My situation seems to be kind-of the same as Darkoliver, but yet the complete opposite?!

Long story short, a guild one of my characters invested a lot of time and effort in, is dead beyond dying! Not recently mind you, the Guildmaster, ALL Officers and ALL 3rd in Command (the 3 Guild ranks Eligible for the Dethrone Option) have been OFFLINE for between 4-to-5 years!!! Most others have left because of this…
**(Not even any activity on the Guilds Discord)
My character would love to take over the guild an try to Rebuild it to it’s former glory!
And i’ll be totally honest, a crapload of stuff (and gold) in the Guild Bank was put there by my character aswell…

Several Tickets later, i still get the Standard copy+paste answer from GM’s, that "Game Masters will not interfere in any Guild Issue’s, including the Dethrone-option, regardless if the guild leadership has been offline for an extraordinary amount of time…

So (again) i would like to propose that the Dethrone eligibility be extended to lower Ranked Guild Members, in the case that the inactivity of the entire Guild Leadership extend more that several years…
If the Dethrone-Option is available for use after a GM is inactive for more than 30 DAYS…
Why shouldn’t that option be made available for lower ranked guild members, if the GM and all higher ranked guild members are also inactive for SEVERAL YEARS?!?

Regards,

PS; Apologies, gues the “Long-Story-Short” part kinda got away from me…

It seems that, except in the case that you were a Guild leader of the same Guild in the past they will not assist in dethroning.

You’re free to continue and make suggestions ingame or elsewhere on the forums about this. I do not recommend badgering the GM’s anymore about this as your request is about suggesting a change of an existing feature which isn’t something GM’s handle.

Suggestions has led to previous changes from Dethroning rank 1, to be extended to 3 ranks down and also some changes in time required before it can be used if I can remember correctly. So feedback is certainly considered if done through the appropriate means and maybe a future change will happen, support doesn’t monitor these.

Magical Suggestion Box

To clarify the “several tickets” part, which you consider “badgering”…

I opened a Ticket about this issue once.
On two separate (rare) occasions that i got an in-game (live) reply from a GM about other issue’s, i brought up the Dethrone-thing AFTER the GM had finished with the issue at hand, and ended with “is there anything else i can assist you with today?”.

I realise these regulations are set in place so people don’t abuse the situation.
I just think that if Officers are allowed to take control of the Guild, after ONLY 30 DAYS of GM-inactivity…
Why shouldn’t the eligibility be extended to lower ranked Guild Members, when the Inactivity extends beyond several YEARS?

Anyhoo, I politely bring this up, saying i have already posted about this in the “Submit Feedback” from the In-game menu, in the most friendliest of friendly ways…

No Badgers were harmed during any interactions with any Game- and/or Guildmasters…

I object, there’s a badger right here officer!

I’m sorry, there has been quite a few posters who repeatedly try to get actual GM attention to feedback/bug reports which they don’t handle so I wanted to say something about it myself as well.

You could also tweet to @Warcraftdevs and see if they might consider changing this.

Merry Winterveil!

And the very Same to you Sir-and-or-Madam!
