Guild Finder needs an update

Came back to the game after some time off and man, it’s been impossible to find a guild let alone a good guild that I fit in, to the point that it’s pretty depressing. Tried 3 different means of finding a guild and no luck, and I’m on one of the most populated servers in EU! And then you open guild finder and it’s just filled with guilds that are inactive. Definitely needs changed so that guild leaders occasionally are asked if they still want their guild listed on guild finder and option to filter by raid times added.

Outside of that am I doing something wrong or has it become a challenge to find people to play this game with?

Everyone uses discord now. They even have discords for classes. I think some advertise in trade or whatever channel still but it is pretty difficult to find anything actually in the game and not on websites or discord these days.

I have found most guilds via wowprogress, raider io recruitment, warcraft logs recruitment, realm forums.

YES it definitely needs to be changed. keeps showing the same guilds, no details, many of them are old and dead guilds . we need to see active character count , progress summary etc.

Many of the guilds listed are just one person with a guild for the guild bank and an alt army. When you list your guild you can basically self invite your own characters into it.

Strange thing is that the recruitment listing does expire (i think after 30 days) but all that does is put a expired message in the guild pane. It really should delist you too.

They do delist eventually. Ive had to relist mine to apply at times.

Oh really? Lots of guilds mention like “Looking to start a raid group going into Shadowlands”, perhaps they’re relisting and just not updating the messages then

I’m the only activate member left in my guild. Recruitment advert went up 2 years ago in SL and it’s still listed now. It’s never been re-listed and I see a red message on guild UI that listing is expired but it is still listed as we still get requests to join even now. If i log another character not in guild i can see the guild listing and apply to join.

I couldn’t find mine so had to go on the GM char and relist it.

True, It does, first of all it should be made to put queue manually by leader/ officers instaed of hanging in guild finder forever even when they aren’t looking for more people anymore

They also should show guild’s raid progress (on highest difficulty) and maybe auto remove people who are offline for longer than 6months
