So my Guild is planing to do a Guild Name Change, but we’re afraid of what will actually happen.
We would like to know what actually happens whenever we change the name of the Guild. Does the players inside the Guild stay in the Old Name Guild, or does the Guild Name Change just change the Guild Name and doesn’t make an copy of the old Guild?
Example: Trying to refer this to a Guild Transfer if it has the same effect on a Guild Name Change.
The name changes and that’s it. Everything else stays exactly the same. The other things only happen if your guild changes faction or realm.
The clue is in the name of the service.
The only thing that will change is the name of the guild. It might take a while for the Armory to update, but that should be about it. Check more info on guild services here.
