Guild ranks

Not sure where I should post this, so that’s why I’m doing it here.
I’m struggling with naming my guild ranks. I have ‘special’ ranks that are not the common ‘guild master’ and ‘officer’ rank.

I have these atm:

  • Keykeeper - Guild Master
  • Gatekeeper - Officer
  • Wanderer - guild member
  • Dreamer - initiate (new member)

But I’m stuck on if I should keep them or change them.
My guild name is Imaginaerum (yes after the Nightwish album) so I want to keep it in that range.

Well any Faux Latin related to sleep? Or Night? Nocturnal? Something to do with the Mind or Constellations? Oracle? Stories? Like maybe an imaginative story teller? Something to do with infinity and the infinite stretches of imagination?

Hey! Seen you advertise in trade :wink: I really like the guild name and dig custom guild ranks!

One suggestion I have for Keykeeper would be to change it to Keymaster maybe (or Wishmaster if you want to stick with Nightwish :sunglasses: )

Rest are good, wouldn’t change them.

The thing with Wishmaster is that’s it’s not entirely clear that it’s the GM rank… :sweat_smile:

I actually like the idea of this. I’m too braindead to come up with anything good lately :joy:

If it is based on nightwish GM should be keyboardist/songwriter and rest just members.

I personally hate these fancy guild rank names. Why it can’t be just simple
Gm-officer-raider-member-trial-social and mute rank somewhere between. (Trust me, there always has to be mute rank)

I don’t want it based on members of the band. I want to keep what Imaginaerum stands for :slight_smile:

Because I want something different. I don’t want the standard ranks. It’s boring.
You might hate it, but I love custom guild ranks!

If we’re going Nightwish why not go full Nightwish?

Our guild is Efficiency and our ranks are:

  • Efficient friend (social)
  • Maybe efficient (trial)
  • Efficient (member)
  • Very efficient (offi)
  • Most efficient (GM)

For what would the tanks stand for? I’m not sure about that.

It’s too common for my liking.
