Hello we are 4 players tentatively LF a raiding guild, Horde only. Will transfer realm but not faction. Available Mon/Weds/Thurs/Sat/Sun evenings.
We run a closed M+ community here: Mythic+ Squad Recruiting! (it will link you to another thread here) as when we came to SL we wanted to start fresh, figure out what we wanted, our mains and to begin focusing on M+. Safe to say we’ve been taking a slower approach to make sure we’re in it for the long run. All 4 of us are working towards running M+ competitively as we settle on our M+ mains.
While we lack the papers for raiding this tier that doesn’t mean we are potatoes. I personally coach those that need it in how to analyse their logs and improve their gameplay, the others with me have grown into exceptional players that are more than ready for long-term Mythic raiding in mindset and capability if not gear alone. Everything needed for pushing keys in an organised team transfers to raiding. You don’t know us though which is why trials exist and we would prefer to be taken on the merit of our performance in that time.
You would be more than welcome to join our server and meet us to get a feel before making any decisions or even review some of our M+ vods as we prep for fat keys, gear allowing. We are not in any rush in our search for a guild that can accommodate our flexible selves.
If it comes to pass guildlies would be welcome to join out M+ roster but that’s not an expectation we hold at all and entirely at the discretion of our future GM - we would like to be considered separate.
Our raiding mains are not what we main for M+. Preferences below and while we do have some ready chars we would need just a week or two to get to HC quality gear wise for those we dont. We are in our early-mid 20’s and early 30’s. Listed by player to prevent clutter:
-
Player 1- myself, vanilla player, hardcore raiding xp and raid leading/gm experience but wish to remain anonymous and be an ordinary member of the raiding roster.
- Prefers: Spriest (to gear) > Warlock (to gear) > Enh (185) > Feral (needs weapon) > Ele > Balance (212). Resto druid/sham main also an option.
Best utilized on a spec with utility or healing OS if needed. As raid led for years have the situational awareness that comes with it but these days enjoys focusing on min-maxing personal performance. Quite flexible.
- Prefers: Spriest (to gear) > Warlock (to gear) > Enh (185) > Feral (needs weapon) > Ele > Balance (212). Resto druid/sham main also an option.
-
Player 2- my irl partner who started and raided mythic Ny’alotha before he decided that in SL is his time to pick his desired role Tank.
- Prefers: WW Monk (he is Brewmaster main and only has time for 1 char mostly due to work). May consider Hunter. Dropped his geared VDH recently.
Good if tank OS ever needed but prefers melee dps or Hunter(?) for raiding Detests casters. Experience in organised shooters at a high level (top 1%) and excels at team leading in M+ and callouts.
- Prefers: WW Monk (he is Brewmaster main and only has time for 1 char mostly due to work). May consider Hunter. Dropped his geared VDH recently.
-
Player 3- also end of BFA player plays well on any class you hand him, favouring healer.
- Prefers: Resto shaman (212) > Disc priest for raiding (to gear) > Hpala (190)
Began as an exceptional dps but switched to healer (aka dps as well!). Has a very active and aggressive playstyle and very good at picking apart logs.
- Prefers: Resto shaman (212) > Disc priest for raiding (to gear) > Hpala (190)
-
Player 4- new SL player with a fantastic gaming background in others, picks things up extremely fast and one of our most studious members.
- Prefers: Unholy dk (200) > Fire (later frost?) Mage (215) / Balance druid (212) / Spriest
Prefers more complex and engaging classes to play. Exceptional progress in shooters and RTS (top 1%). He is your pure dps player that can likes to go big or go home.
- Prefers: Unholy dk (200) > Fire (later frost?) Mage (215) / Balance druid (212) / Spriest
So we’re bit of an odd band and again not in any rush to find a guild. My partner and I handpicked the other two for their mental fortitude and capability -aftercall you need players that can handle wipes but still bring game. The only concern I would have as a RL to a RL is that some of the above might be nervous initially as having never been in a larger organised team on one encounter. But I’ve seen enough of them to know they would be absolutely fine once settled.
We have a reputation to maintain and our own community so you know that we don’t have the liberty of taking the piss. We have all discussed and if one of us was found lacking after a period of review we would remain objective. Worst case if we decided to leave as a pair or group we would give our guild a months notice to replace us before moving on - we, too, know the pains of roster management.
