Greetings!
We are Amused to Death. We are looking to recruit for 8.1 and get back to our winning ways, taking those world ranks and Realm 1sts once more.
The guild formed at the end of Cataclysm, and achieved considerable success in the raid tiers following, whilst strictly raiding only 3 days/week. A few examples:
- Realm 1st Throne of Thunder & Siege of Orgrimmar (25-man HC)
- Amongst world top 10 of 3 day/week guilds
- Amongst world top 100 of overall guilds (peak at #80), not bad considering our limited raid schedule
Shortly after Siege of Orgrimmar, real life hit several of our raiders, and they had to take a hiatus. The remaining raiders went to top guilds such as ScrubBusters, Pieces, Wiping as Intended and several others, achieving overall world top 10 ranks. This is a testament to the skill of players we have.
However, with the launch of Battle for Azeroth, several of the core players have returned from real life and other top guilds mentioned previously, with the intention of taking Amused to Death back to its former glory.
We started raiding casually again recently, and are currently at 7/8 Mythic, raiding 2 days/week.
However, we will be going back to 3 days/week with the launch of patch 8.1, and raiding properly once more. As such, we are looking to recruit the following roles to augment our current roster with other top-performers:
- Healer (Paladin, Shaman or Priest)
- Tank (Any class except Death Knight)
However, if you are exceptional, please do not hesitate to apply regardless of class.
Our raiding schedule in 8.1 will be:
- Wednesday (20:00 - 23:00)
- Thursday (20:00 - 23:00)
- Sunday (20:00 - 23:00)
Because we will only raid 9 hours/week, even during progress, it is imperative that you have near 100% attendance.
We are aiming to build on our current roster and become 1 of the world’s top 3 day/week raiding guilds once more. Thus, we value highly efficient raids, maximizing impact with minimum time invested. As such, you have to be a very focused individual and have to excel at your role. Outside of raids, we are of course very chilled and have an active community, Discord presence, real life meetings etc.
If you are very good at what you do, and you want to be surrounded with like-minded people excelling at raiding whilst still leaving time for real life, then please get in touch.
You will need logs (in a raid environment), and some proof of suitable achievements relevant for aiming at world ranks or Realm 1sts, either this tier or previously.
