"When Malygos first initiated Nexus War, I was infuriated. I thought it was nonsense to purge the magic users who had saved our world in the past.
When Kalecgos rose to be the leader of the flight and took the mantle of the Spell-weaver, I had hope in him. I thought he would keep the usage of magic in check and intervening in places where it is required without falling into madness. Few years went by and the Horde decided to attack the Alliance, throwing magic carelessly around here and there in hopes of defeating each other.
The Theramore incident happened. Mortal magic users acquired the Focusing Iris and turned it into a Mana Bomb that not only destroyed the city, but tore the fabric of reality apart around the place and destroyed it in every other dimension. And what did our oh-so beloved Spell-weaver do? Did he cut those responsible for such atrocity off from the usage of Arcane? No, no, no. He sided with the Lady of Theramore who rose to the position of Archmage of Kirin Tor and she was on a personal crusade to eradicate the Horde with the usage of magic.
Then the Legion came and what did our vaunted blue dragons do? They handed out the most valued artifacts contained in the Nexus to some hapless adventurers and abandoned the Nexus behind, forsaking the duties they once believed in.
I left on to a personal exodus to The Nexus at Coldarra to gather other dragonsworn who thought that such reckless behavior must be stopped by all means necessary.
Malygos had a vision. We will finish what he started."
The Nexus Accord
A long-anticipated guild of Mage Hunters with renewed faith Malygos’s mission has finally arrived after several years in the making, but for real this time. With the renewal of interest in dragon RP during Dragonflights, it’s time to launch this epic guild once and for all. Mortal enemies of Kirin Tor guilds, the Mage Hunters named their organization the Nexus Accord in open mockery of the disbanded Wyrmrest Accord.
The guild itself is made up of zealous individuals who one way or another through many betrayals revolving around magic have decided to seek out the root of the problem and snuff out arcane use from mortals who are incapable of maintaining the proper discipline required of the arts. Arcane vigilantes, if you will.
The Nexus Accord welcomes all races who share the view with the excellent Elixir of Tongues addition finally allowing cross-faction communication. In the past I have been asked if we’ll allow dragons in the guild and after heavy contemplation I have started to believe that we should indeed allow them. Why would we deny such an overpowered asset that is bound to capture the spotlight everywhere we go? For an authentic experience we have agreed that the small collection of dragon RPers we intend to let in will truly be the focus of the guild’s storylines in order to progress their personal tragedies onward
What you can expect from us are a very active community-based guild, a guild master who’s thoroughly dedicated to the Nexus Accord’s legacy and a steady stream of heart-gripping storylines to keep you on your toes.
The ranks
Arbiter
The leader of the group that guides the hunters in their crusade towards potential targets to capture and/or kill.
Inquisitor
The collective hand of the Arbiter, these people have proven their dedication to the cause through active displays of their zeal and leadership skills.
Enforcer
The melee combatants of the group using their expertise to tackle situations where a hammer is required instead of a scalpel.
Spellweaver
The casters of the group, utilizing their knowledge and mastery over the magical arts to counter mages and their arsenal. To fight fire, one must first understand it.
Mage Hunter
The more lightly armoured category of the guild. Be it rogues or hunters, or even monks who believe that true mastery comes from within, they fall under this rank.
Initiate
The new guy in the order. You have yet to fully prove yourself and it acts as the trial-period where you get to know others and others get to know you.
Uniforms
The guild does not make use of uniforms, but a colour scheme that rotates around the traditional colours of the Dragonflight is encouraged. Being evil is no excuse to look bad.
Thank you for making it this far and I hope the concept managed to spark some interest. See you all on the flip side gamers
