<H-Belf RP> Farstriders Veterans Hub + Discord Link

Greetings Argent Dawn!

In my newfound quest to give CPR to the dying Belf Community I would like to announce plans for a new Horde Hub, this time centered around Farstriders, which I know! Farstriders?!? Where?

I know you lot are hiding in the woods, its what you’re good at, get out of the tree an come join us!

The idea, which the war grinding down and there being no major events and large scale conflicts (for now) there would be a natural downturn in numbers for armies, soldiers return home, though obviously, Azeroth is still most definitely on a war footing, a peaceful one perhaps, but still.

Battles end, and soldiers do return home, and when they do, sometimes they prefer their own company, company of fellow soldiers. Much like in real life, there are veterans hubs to create that sense of community Civilian life differs from. War stories, comradeship and tales can be shared and heard, felt even.

One the OOC end, its to bring some of those old Farstrider RPers who fled to the alliance ( You know who you are, don’t worry, We forgive you <3) for an evening of RP every so often at the Lodge as Farstriders, not those stuffy old Blood Knights, eh?

There will of be some ceremonial scowling across the square at the Hall of Blood, all in good spirits, eh?

Time and exact date to be decided, I shall edit the post once interest is established, I do believe there re many who used to play Farstriders or want to, but due to the collapse of the Belf scene, don’t, I want to instill a bit of interest and life back into the Belf and Farstrider scene, so I thought I’d dangle a carrot of RP at you guys, hopefully the prospect is a good enough incentive.

I do want to add on events within the hub, perhaps a monthly archery contest or some such. Very open to ideas, suggestions and criticism, I know it may be a forlorn hope, but I want to give it a go!

Was saying to a couple of friends that if I get the impetus to run a guild properly again, it’d have to be a Farstrider one.
I’d love to see if my own view of the 'striders (work hard, play hard types with little shame off the field and pinpoint accuracy in battle) fits the same with others.
Including the idea of a ‘network’ of ‘stashes’ 'striders leave across Azeroth that include survival gear and booze.

And yes to the ritual Glaring at the Blood Knights for sure.
… I may need to also make a cross-faction version of my former 'strider former dark ranger to come along to this…

DO IT! Honestly, there not being a Farstrider guild is probably the biggest reason people don’t RP them anymore, Having a place for them to congregate would be great!

Its how I always played them! Less strict and formal, but still incredibly professional.

Could I humbly request if this could be made into a community and/or Discord instead of a guild? Some of us few remaining will have probably run off to a guild over the last few months/years.

I don’t see why not! My mage back in Warlords used to roll about in the mud and clouds with the Sun Hawks, Scruffy mages are best mages!

Hello! The Hub is not intend to be a guild, its just a hub to enable us to get some Farstrider RP going again, if some enterprising soul does decide to put together a guild, that’d be amazing, but this hub is mainly for any Farstrider Adjacent or Farstrider character, Guilded or unguilded
A discord will be set up by friday, currently building the basics of it, don’t need to make it too fancy after all!

No pressure, the main ideas to have fun and make some RP, a guild will happen if it happens, I just want to see farstriders again!

Can’t have much of s scowling if practically nobody is even present. I only know of D23 and Crimson Vanguard using the Hall of Blood but neither of them has a real presence as of late. At best I see one or two people, but they always stick to themselves and don’t interact with others from what I am seeing. Doesn’t help either that the pathway toward the hall of blood looks rather inhospitable towards casual RP.

As for Farstrider RP, I am not seeing it happening really. Not unless the Horde actually gets some numbers again across the entire faction. Lest you get the exact same issue the Blood Knight guilds are facing: intense bubble RP.

While i do see your point, i think what you are saying makes stuff like this even more vital in sustaining and growing the horde and Belf community. As you say, there are few players on Horde, SMC can be empty and RP is bubbly, but the Hub is intended to be a start, give incentive for those who left horde or don’t go to SMC to go “Oh there’s a thing going on, might check it out for an hour, see if its some fun” Dust off their old Belf or whatever and head on over, Its a start. RP doesn’t just materialise, it does take putting a nice bit of bait to lure people in, such as the festivals, markets, various hubs and so on. I’m just creating a place people know there’ll be some RP, maybe a bit different than the standard Dalaran, Org et cetera RP. A chance of pace is nice no?

The more players there are in any given area, the more likely random RP will start, especially if you have a bunch of BK’s and Farstriders in the same place, its not long before people mingle, and hey, never know, this might all be a complete failure and waste of time, But, I’m willing to give it a go.

Once things pick up, a SMC Belf general event will hopefully be organised, by yours truly (Not for some time, got a few other things in the works first) Like a Farstrider vs Blood Knight tournament perhaps. Though that heavily depends on how interested the playerbase is in my little crackpot idea, I want to see the RP return, even in a small way,
