Elation is a guild that reformed during early SL, consisting of a long-standing group of friends who’ve been playing together for a very long time (18 years…!). We’re mainly a bunch of mates looking to have fun and enjoy the game. The original guild was named Logistics and we were around in WOTLK, clearing the majority of the 10 man content available to us, followed by a rename to Elation in Cata, clearing a bunch of the heroic content. Some members continued to play throughout the following expansions in different guilds but we reformed midway through 9.0 and are now looking to push on and claim CE in 9.1!
To cut to the chase - we are looking for a couple more core raiders so we can claim our CE achievement! We took Castle Nathria fairly casually while carefully recruiting only those who we deem a good fit with our culture, gradually building up our team to a stable position and reaching 7/10M in the process - we’re now looking for an additional couple of members so we can really drive on, clear this tier and have a stable roster ready for 9.2.
Here at Elation, we offer a relaxed guild environment with a solid community, so bear in mind, if you’re just in it for the loot - don’t bother applying. We want to promote a guild that plays primarily for FUN, and we take raiding as a means to do so.
Our guild’s founding members are extremely experienced, between us - barring some Mythic raids - we have cleared the vast majority of all raids dating back to Vanilla!
Elation is a fairly casual guild with a relaxed guild atmosphere, we are by no means hardcore, but have a strong desire to clear the current content; and to accomplish that, we raid 2 times per week and expect determination and commitment from our members on those nights.
Our current raiding nights are:
Wednesday - 8:15pm to 11:15pm
Thursday - 8:15pm to 11:15pm
(All in server time)
What we expect from you:
- Be social! Communicate with the guild; talk on Disc, get stuck in!
- Be an active member (show up for raids consistently)
- Be a skilled player (know how to play your class and spec to a high degree, raid awareness)
- Be prepared (come to raids with consumables, know about the fights beforehand)
- Put the guild before yourself (having a solid offspec, sitting out when asked and needed)
- Being patient when learning new content (not getting frustrated, and giving it your best effort even if we have wiped several times)
- Be respectful to guild members even if you disagree with their point of view
- Have fun
What you can expect from us:
- In general, our raids will be a lot of fun and we will kill things at a proper pace. You can expect most of all great leadership and structured raids.
- You will find that the guild is usually willing to help you with reasonable things and that everyone is treated with equal respect, regardless of rank.
- You can expect a solid Disc server that is well maintained and you are allowed to bring friends into it outside of raids.
