IC:
Citizens of the High Home,
it has been deemed appropriate by the Magisterium to start expanding the ranks of the City Guard in order to re-establish the indomitable quality of the Sin’dorei combat division. We have long been established as excellent paladins, magi and hunters alike, however ever since our recovery after the dreaded events that befell our land, our ranks have largely scattered across all of Azeroth, considering the unforeseen expansion of recently discovered territories. It is our duty to not only excel in our foreign endeavours, but we must not forget our roots and require attendance to the needs of Quel’Thalas as well.
With that said, recruitment for the Silvermoon City Guardian ranks has commenced. Should you be interested in expanding our ranks and contributing to the growth and recovery of the High Home, do not hesitate to seek out Royal Guard Scheixanter Blazewing, typically stationed before the Sunfury Spire, presiding at the very entrance with the rest of the entrance guard unit.
Tal anu’men no Sin’dorei!
OOC:
Alright so, I will keep it as understandable as possible. For years, I have been hoping to see Silvermoon thrive, and my heart has always been stationed in Quel’thalas. Whenever I came to Horde AD, I had hoped to see Silvermoon somewhat active, however it did not feel nearly as good as I had hoped for, not to mention the existing guilds around here have felt largely disconnected from each other’s happening. I felt an immediate absence of “glue” in the community, something that would largely conform to the given Blood-elven standard, but would still be fairly benevolent in terms of requirements, activity etc. I would always be pushed to the idea of being a guardian of the High Home, just keeping the land safe, gluing the people together without intrusion, and acting kind of like the background character, that is just “always there”, because I am; especially since I’m a PvP-focused main, and RP is just a hobby to me and my only goal is to make Silvermoon feel more alive, without intrusion to the activities of the other people.
Therefore my idea of the guild is simple:
If you’ve always wanted to be some form of a guardian of the High Home (let’s be benevolent with the lore for the principle’s sake - no need to be a Blood Knight), then feel free to contact me and I can grant you the “title” in the form of the Guild name, since I’d managed to finally snipe it from some inactive person’s hands.
Rules:
- Don’t be an ahh, do not “abuse power”, because you do not have any, we’re all at the same, even playground.
- We could act as a delegation point (and gateaway for newcomers!), to direct people in some direction, or umbrella it under our name. To my knowledge, there currently are no genuinely active “Farstriders”, there is the 23rd division for Blood Knights, the Magi do not have much place to go to, so we could make it as divisions until more people form around, hopefully in Midnight.,
- Be casual. We could be recruitable for events, just like you would expect from the City Guardians, but I personally do not expect to make any events myself, to me this is just a passion project that would add to the class fantasy. So just chill around and feel free to do whatever you feel like fits your RP, as long as it could be considered a SCG activity. Unless you are not on a shift of course, that is what I mean by casual. You do not always need to be dressed in armor, patrolling the city, “keeping peace” and whatnot. It’s just a social status thing.,
- Just have fun, and don’t take fun away from other people. Let’s build a community together.
Visuals:
- Primarily red-gold attire while on-duty, however some slight deviations can be accepted, should it fit your character fantasy (e.g. Farstrider-focused character wielding greens instead of reds etc.),
- Blood elf; Dracthyr males allowed for OOC visual modifications (however be careful about talking in Thalassian - you might wanna make a story about impaired hearing if you choose to be one),
- /pvp on to blend in with the rest of the guards, and attack Alliance intruders, should they come around (or talk them out of the land), because that is, at the end of the day, our only implied job.,
- Ride a Hawkstrider or a Dragonhawk of your choice. Ideally ride a Hawkstrider in the city and a Dragonhawk outside in Eversong.
