[H-RP] Kosh'harg Festival, Spring 2021 — 22 to 28 March

Unfortunately, Blizzard’s sizzling servers caused a bit of a hitch when it came to having a full market. But we thankfully still had a few stalls and a good bit of attendance nonetheless, for which I’m most grateful! Thanks once more to those of you attending and hosting stalls! And an additional thank you to Enrah for hosting the Gathering of the Wise and Rhonya for her highly questionable auction!

Tomorrow, we’ll have three more big competitions coming up! The by now famous Brawl’gar at 19:00, a Costume Contest at 21:30 and the timeless Drunken Backwards Race at 22:00! Though, bear in mind the starting times might be delayed depending on the duration of the other events and those wishing to attend both.

As a reminder for those who want to participate in the Costume Contest, remember that the theme will be “the four elements”! So that’s fire, earth, water and air.

I am having loads of fun on this event and my character is making acquaintages too.
Or maybe even friends.

Only managed to nip by briefly for one evening due to work, but by golly gosh it’s no less glorious than previous other festivals! Great to see this going from strength to strength!

Highly questionable? How dare you! It was totally legit and Kwank totally did not run off with most the money he made from selling other peoples items, naah.
<3 It was fun to do and I hope people enjoyed themselves with the sillyness of the items (and a few more serious ones xD)

So, Day Six is upon us. I won’t deny, the fact that the event is almost over does somewhat sting. But for my First Kosh’arg, This whole event has put a damned good smile on my face. Made some good friends, Got to let Blade Experience more of his orcish heritage, And I think I’ve got more interesting stories to tell now.

I won’t deny, I’m already excited for the next one, And I wanted to thank you all for making this one damned memorable. Even if we technically have two days ahead of us still!

I agree. I am genuinely sad that Outland will be rather empty again, as my character mainly stays in Outland.
Knowing that I will likely not see most characters again that I met IC, unless I search really -really- hard.

I have come to the conclusion that I am in need of acquiring an Orc mask at the next Hallow’s End, to make my disguise and participate more public in this event. Interesting to follow on the sidelines but one gets paranoid having to sneak around. The event has been fun to follow, and a few have managed to find me, and thanks to their kindness, I was not called out.

Was here for the first day on Zin’ia and I absolutely loved it! Would’ve possibly come by on Azmira but I don’t think she’d be allowed to walk into Garadar I feel, despite her neutrality.

Now I’m mostly watching from a distance as I needed to take a little RP break, but I absolutely adored the RP I got to see and experience. Thank you for letting me come along on Zin’ia, as well as my guildie who’s still there. :purple_heart:

Seriously also gave me motivation to actually work on my Orc OC on the side!

“She’s blonde, she’s cute, she’ll kick you with a boot, Dawnstrike! Dawnstrike!
She’s hot, she’s strong, her winning streak is one, Dawnstrike! Dawnstrike!
She’s smart, she’s funny, she makes Tialis lots of money, Dawnstrike! Dawnstrike!
She’s quick, she’s mad, she comes from Quel’thalas! Dawnstrike! Dawnstrike!
She’s hot, she’s pissed and she’ll see you in the lists and she hails from Quel’thalas!”

Had a lot of fun today with the brawl which is always a lark and great to see people from last year - I always enjoy it for the aspect of being kind to the people you lost against and cheering them on to win the game for you. It’s a really nice atmosphere ‘I’ll never loose to a looser’.

It was also a lot of fun to see the costume contest taking place and over all the Skyguards had a blast of a time. As always a wonderful event by the organisers

Quite the display at the Brawl tournament. A very good show indeed.

Managed to peak with at the costume contest as well, though the one I cheered for alas, did not win.

My sneaking around though was cut short as I was finally spotted by a diverse group of interesting people. A delight to meet without any hostile reaction. Thank you for the little talk.

To the baker at the center of Garadar, it was not kind to not accept my request for the purchase of baked goods.

I mean, it has to be said it was rather easy to spot you when your red hair stuck out against the green hills of nagrand :stuck_out_tongue:

And don’t think I didn’t see you in the tree later!

Was great fun as always to attend yesterdays Brawl. Found some new friends and had good RP allaround

That was pretty interesting actually. “Yeah, they’re human (Because we only saw you human, not in Worgen form) but they’re an Argent?” “So?” “Means they’re neutral.” “So we don’t kill them?” Brigante sighs “Yes, means we don’t kill them”.

Was an interesting little interlude.

Well. It would not be fair to be within the shadows always. I have been appearing and disappearing through the celebrations. Observing.

Well. Last night was the closest location I have been interacting with people of the celebration.

Three big contests with three winners each yesterday!

For the Brawl’gar, we have…
First place for Zi’tani Steelstorm of the Red Blades!
Second place for Sathien Starfury of the Frozen Paw!
And third place for Blondie of the Forsaken!

For the Costume Contest, we certainly had some… unique ideas, with the first three prizes going to…
Ranthos as Thrall the Shaman in first place!
Ko’wi the Forest Sprite coming in second!
And finally, Seekia the Wind Elemental coming in third!

And then, for the Drunken Backwards Race, we have…
Klayle Riverhorns finishing first!
Ko’wi coming in second!
Miama Elwood following in third place!

Congratulations to all the winners and big thanks for Nakobu and Rashka for hosting the competitions, but also everyone who attended and either participated or cheered on their friends in the contests! We hosts certainly had a blast!

Now, alas, today is already the last day of this time’s Kosh’harg. So let’s try to go out with a bang! After the Closing Ceremony at 20:00, we’ll have the good, old Tournament of the Blades taking place at 21:00! So come join in and take the chance to finally bonk each other on the heads or just to have some fun!

Literally saw the orange text over your head and went ‘would I notice that’? Then went ‘They’re standing pretty much in the open, and I am playing an elf, who are famed for having pretty damned good senses! Of course I would notice that! and I am facing directly at them!’

Naturally chugged an Elixir of Tongues and wandered over, ready to give some verbal aggro then went. ‘Oh, an Argent, yeah, fair enough then’.

Genuinely was a fun encounter, so cheers for that!

Probably going to miss that, as I have a Zoom Tabletop game on tonight, depends how late people hang around for, but this event has actually re-sparked my enjoyment of RP in the game, which had been flagging, so thanks to all concerned. Reminded me how much I had missed it. Had a three hour long conversation with an unguilded Orc on Tuesday which was just brilliant, just two veteran soldiers chewing the fat. I wish I had got the dude or dudette’s Btag, because they were such a rounded character that we literally just talked for hours about the random stuff that people talk about. Which is what I always love about the Kosh’arg, you end up just talking to people, and characters seem more like real people, than just a set of pixels. It is a good initiative, and long may it continue!

It was interesting to see Brigante talk about the “three rules” of storytelling and meet another old Shattered Sun veteran.
Just watch out @Brigante, I heard Zoom has a lot of security flaws, might want to use an alternative.

Today the Kosh’harg ends. Last day.
We will end with a closing Ceremony at 20:00 realm time, hosted by Kogra Windwatcher, along with others to help our shaman!

This is followed by the Tournament of the Blades, hosted by Nakobu at 21:00! With the festival of peace and blood can freely flow, we will have a tournament to end it with a bang! And for the ancestors of course.

And that’s a wrap for this year’s first Kosh’harg! Once again, a very, very big thank you to everyone who took the time to come join us for the celebrations! Be it just one day or entire week, and be it just to mingle in random RP or to participate in events! We can host all the events and activities that we want, but they’re no good without a nice bunch of people to join in and enjoy them! It’s always a great pleasure to see people taking the time to come to the forgotten Outlands and to meet up with some faces they don’t tend to see IC for the entire rest of the year before departing again!

And of course, a very big thank you to everyone who helped host as well! That being Nakobu, Kogra, Zitani, Noshmarak, Frakhorn, Zakarah, Verzan, Rykana, Rhonya, Rashka and many more who chipped in!

And let’s not forget our last few winners of this Kosh’harg’s contests, namely the Tournament of the Blades: in third place, Gul’ragg Thunderhowl, second place for Alexarius Arrian and first place for Zerphan Bladesmasher!

Again, thanks for joining and hopefully we’ll see each other again at the next Kosh’harg or festival in general!
