Update: Actually that was a pretty fun plot twist and I don’t want to undermine it by being my normal amount of silly. It turns out that even if you’re a dead frostwyrm, if all that’s left of you is barely enough to manipulate some people into worshipping you… Then you’re no longer a threat once those cultists have been killed. We learned this as soon as we arrived because the gnolls overthrew Indigosa long before we got there. What was left of her remains begged us to work out some way to restore her to “life,” but she had run our patience thin, and we have enough undead enemies-turned-uneasy -halfway-resurrected-allies. And despite the gnolls of Brackenhide overpowering her, we weren’t about to take the risk that Indigosa had a fraction of a full frostwyrm’s might left. Shakela returned her to the Light, or incinerated her with holy magic, depending on who you ask.
Escaping from Brackenhide was by far the harder part, and it’s no wonder people still fear to tread there. If Edanna took a few seconds longer to finish her mass teleportation, we would all probably have succumbed to poison instead of fleeing back to our ship.
Even our most war-hungry warriors will probably appreciate that we’re going to rest up in Iskaara for a short while next.

It is clear that the warband doesn’t trust me yet. When asked about their future endeavours, most of the warriors gave me polite yet vague answers. Koll mentioned returning to Kalimdor, which the general confirmed later. It seems like the next thing on the warband’s agenda is returning a fire elemental’s essence to Stonetalon Mountains, or finding out a certain blacksmith in Hyjal—apparently a Kaldorei family heirloom had somehow ended up in the warband’s possession.
General Bloodrain also mentioned buying a fishing boat, which I found adorable; fishing seems like such a peaceful pastime for a grizzled veteran to indulge in. I love it!

Corrupt fire elemental: befriended again (as long as we help them heal through our patience and support)
Enchanted sword: learned (as long as Azukuni wields it only in defence of what a green dragon* calls “nature”)
Final Dragon Isles Summit: attended (sadly I was not there to win the race so the prize went to Gurook instead. Well done! You will lose the next.)
*I don’t know if I should be proud of Torakk that he can still trick me with the classic “dragon disguised as a mortal”, or ashamed of myself for falling for it so well.
All our threads are tying together, I can only hope that the two or three different enemies we’ve made aren’t doing the same.

The Beastmaw will most likely be taking it easy until the next expansion, with smaller stories and one/two/three-shot plotlines rather than anything huge. There are plans for bigger campaigns, but chances are that we’ll wait to see the start of TWW before we set anything off. =)

And a happy expansion launch!
The new zones and stories look pretty amazing, and definitely something the Beastmaw might want to get involved with in the coming months.
For the time being, while waiting for Thrall to rally the Horde and all guild members to catch up on quests, we shall be sat in our made-up outpost of Direwild and investigate new sightings of pirates in the local waters. A crew whose flag resembles a crab wearing a skull and carrying cutlasses in its claws is led by a captain named Serante, known only for his cruelty, and that he was thought to have disappeared years ago…

We arrived in Khaz Algar! And oh boy did those anti-kraken spikes on our ship pay off…

The Beastmaw stay in Dornogal was relatively short, called elsewhere to chase loose ends while the Horde-Alliance vanguard paves the way down the Coreway. Vrakk has been planning an adventure for us for a while now, so everyone’s excited to see that through.
However! Active contact with the Horde Embassy of Dornogal has been made, so the Beastmaw will stay in the loop of what occurs there.

Bad news, a tidal wave hit the beach under Direwild Den and we’re still assessing the damage. Good news, I haven’t found a way to blame this on Gindri.
Yet.

You’re not gonna believe what we bumped into just after we escaped! Pirates! You know who else is a pirate…?
