[H-RP] The Dust Scavengers - Vulpera Caravan

Time has passed since the unexpected fall of one of the greatest bastions of magic, people have rushed to the newly rediscovered island of Khaz Algar, bringing dangers and opportunities.
Not the Dust Scavengers, but with the proverbial gold rush coming to an end, finally their wagons are about to move in order to scavenge the riches of the isle and its underground, be they material, intellectual, or otherwise.

But at the idea of this new land, and the numerous adventurers seeking its sights and findings, the Vulperas also decided on a great change, letting other races than their kin join their grand adventures
as long as they agree to live by the Vulpera standards and yet affiliate with the Horde, that is !

Prepare for adventure !

OOC :

Right, big change for the Scavengers ! Seeing how Horde RP is in dire need of consolidation, we have decided to allow other Horde races, non-Vulpera, to join the caravan. What does it change ? Frankly not much, more people that may share our travels ! More friends to the adventures !

Mind you though, we’re not seeking to move into a multicultural paradigm. Even if you’re not a Vulpera, you are expected to live like a Vulpera. There will be no big houses, no fancy elven cushions, no sedentary stays ; You will live in tents, wagons, and learn to survive the harshest conditions like we have in Vol’dun !

Think you got what it takes ? Then come on in, future Scavenger !

Well settled on the island of Khaz Algar, having made acquaintances with the village of Freywold and a wayward group of Lamplighters pursuing their quarry to the surface, the Scavengers are running high on adventuring juice !

Peculiar in organization for once, with their wagons unable to go underground, it is a whole other beast of planning that has seized the caravan of adventurers ! But nothing they can’t end up facing and conquering

The Scavengers currently camp in the vicinity of Freywold Village, from which they launch their expeditions on the rest of Khaz Algar. Come give us a little poke if you’d like to join the adventure, or just have a nice chat !

The expedition on Khaz Algar advances apace for the Scavengers. With more inhabitants of taken as a point of contact, their sampling of the local culture has only extended and expeditions grow all the easier.

With their main camp well settled on the surface, they prepare to dive in the underground proper ! Well, to camp there, rides down do tend to get expensive and wagons can’t quite pass the collapsed Coreway !

Ah, the yearning for fresh air

Winter’s Veil, worgens smell, Vol’dun’s still a mess ~â™Ș

The festive season and the arrival of winter have done nothing to deter the Dust Scavengers in their activities ! Deep under the crust of Azeroth, their advanced camp has flourished and furnished a proper foothold in the Ringing Deeps that will soon be left behind in order to scratch at the other neighbouring regions.
Azj-kahet or Hallowfall, thus is the wonder for the intrepid scavengers until the very last minute !

Still, the surface is not out of the question, with the Vulperas holding their own celebrations of seasonal change, seeing the ascension of a new Silverfang among the leadership of the caravan, and of winter cheers, both their own and that of Azeroth-wide parties in Winterspring !

And that’s not even talking about their brewing plans, already talking of a large bazaar to come, and a secret initiative of their own that has yet to blossom !

OOC :

Merry Christmas and Winter’s Veil everyone ! This is your monthly update of Scavenger things !

I am happy to welcome Zuhkon (going by the name of Teruh in-game) as part of the leadership team of the Dust Scavengers. He makes a second point of contact with the guild, and we intend to bring the Dusties strong into the next year !

Speaking of strong, we will be holding a Vulpera market in February ! Do consult our post for information, and don’t hesitate poking us if you’d like to be spotlit among the stalls !
Here be market !

Another plan to animate the server is in creation, we’ll be updating once it’s more concretized !

Warm sands and enjoy your celebrations !

I promise to be a responsible, measured, and completely reasonable Silverfang mage and will not blow up the planet at all!

Jokes aside - I hope everyone is doing well! I will be a second point of contact for the guild going forward, as Khee said. If you have any questions, concerns, or otherwise want to chat about something, feel free to contact me on Teruh or Tarohn on Argent Dawn. If you’d rather catch up out of game, I am also happy to provide my Discord Tag if you DM me.

Hope you’ll all have a good christmas!

Warm sands Azeroth ! The wagon is rolling in, with all the boons to please your palates !

Straight out of Vol’dun, and sometimes Kul Tiras, the Dust Scavengers bring you the best of Vulpera gastronomy !
Whether you want to satisfy your hunger and thirst here, or on the go, we have everything and anything to make your mouths explode with the flavours of the desert !

So come to the Dunechester, have a mug, and wait for all of your worries to blow over !

OOC :

And here we continue with server-mobilizing and RP-creating initiatives !

It’s an idea that has been wandering in our heads a good while, and it’s finally coming to fruition thanks to the best foodies of the caravan !

The Dunechester, better name for the Tavern Wagon of the Dust Scavengers, opens for the first time this Thursday 9th of January at 8pm/20:00, located close to the current camp of the Scavengers on the outskirts of Freywold Village, on the Isle of Dorn.
Everyone is welcome, Horde, Alliance, murlocs, dragons, undeads (if you promise very nicely to not bite ! We’re not starting another Scourge here !), anyone !

What to expect ? Vulpera culture on full display ! A familial ambience with finger food made from homely ingredients, drinks with exotic flavours, and the kind of games and stories you would expect around our campfire !
Tables ? Pfft, no ! We got crates for you to sit and place your stuff ! As it is said in the French language, “A la bonne franquette !” is how we Vulperas make it happen !

And this is not a once in a while, this will be a repeated event, likely weekly, moving with the explorations of the caravan !

So come on over, and the Dunechester will guarantee you one evening like a true Vulpera !

It’s been a handful of weeks now that the Scavengers have made the move from the Ringing Deeps to the neighbouring region of Hallowfall
after much deliberation whether they should tackle the depths of Azj-Kahet first.

While rough in both facing the realities of the shifts of Beledar, and the absolute need to limit their excursions to daylight, on top of some altercations with an overzealous Lamplighter, they have finally made their little hole in the Arathi stronghold !

Having entered a partnership with the local farmers, made connections with some Arathi soldiers visiting the Dunechester and inviting them to serve in their city, and slowly reworking an abandoned shack into a summary trading post, their position in the depths seems to be strengthening ! But affairs on the surface are not left untouched, and they are looking forward to one very very busy month !

OOC : Here is your monthly Scavenger activity report ! And gosh is it filled to the absolute brim !

The Dunechester, our tavern, has moved its activities to every Monday evening at 8pm , as the middle of the week already has many taverns for others to enjoy ! Gotta start your week with a fix too, eh ?! As per our wandering dogma, we will be hosting the next Dunechester in Mereldar as the caravan has been gracefully invited by new Arathi player friends to do so ! We might be moving around the place to host in the small villages of Hallowfall too, we shall see !

And on the 15th of February, and to put love and trade together to make the love of trade, do not miss attending the Bazaar of Remil’Hubi ! Applications to be featured at the front ever opened !

And as always, if you are aligned to the Horde and seeking an experience mingling both social ties and high-stakes adventure, the Dust Scavengers are always happy to welcome new tails to their family !

We wish you a nice upcoming month of February !

A mix of idleness and chaotic workflows has settled about the growing outpost of the Scavengers in Hallowfall. While cloth and wooden awnings now adorn what was previously a derelict hovel, and crystalline remnants help keep the shifts of Beledar at bayn the Scavengers are
still there ? Seems taking their next and last step into Azj-Kahet is met with reluctance

No matter, work never stops ! Maybe it’s just that Hallowfall has so much to offer, and a derelict small airship being surrounded by recovered parts seem to give insight in their current pursuit !

Trading relations flourish, the scent of home-cooked food fills the air, and the tavern crates return empty of produce but full of money more often than not ! And that’s without even mentioning the echoes about Vulpera delicacies in Mereldar !

Vulperas are in business, beware your pouches !

OOC :

Phew, there’s both a lot and very little ongoing ! Let me break it down for you, dear Argent Dawn !

  • We’re doing a good bunch of community outreach !
We will be taking care of the catering at the Pohkisa, on the 10th of March. Find more information on the Horde Community Discord, where you’ll also find ways to contact the organizer.
We also work with the Iron Wolf Clan going forward to provide catering and activities during the Fireside Gathering, first Saturday of each month - Specifically done by me are the Fireside Tales, a gathering of player-made stories with cultural aims. You can find the first chapter on their Discord.

  • The Remil’Hubi was a success. Though it was quaint, we managed to beckon over representants of many races and had fun ! We will work forward to bring Vulpera markets in a more regular fashion, under another more generic name, by reaching for other interested Vulperas. Work in progress, check in later !

  • The Dunechester works stellarly ! Thanks a lot to the Arathi community who makes their home there, and that even includes that of other servers who visited us ! Phasing has been a problem for a while but we established a community to fight that issue ! Find the link on the main RP Discords.
We’ll also move it very soon in order to change the sights.

  • We will be holding a brawling event on the 23rd of April. This is something we usually do inside the caravan but we thought to extend it server-wide. We’ll be using a non-rolling system, or more well-known rules, depending on participants’ choices.

And as always, we let our caravaner’s stories flourish with every step we take ! And we’re always seeking for more Vulperas wishing to walk Azeroth in our company and family !

It’s not March yet, but enjoy the upcoming month ! And let’s keep Argent Dawn awesome !

Despite its radiant glow, the scavengers leave behind Hallowfall for the time being, opting to go even deeper into the darkness for an expedition towards the (in)famous spider kingdom beneath the ground. As they make camp near one of the few safe spots in the rocky and dark area, the city lies in the distance in an almost forboding expectation. Down here, you have to tread carefully across every silken bridge you can find. Otherwise, you might end up with the wrong eight-legged crowd

OOC:

As March is slowly drawing to a close, it is time for our monthly update!

  1. The Scavengers have made their way further down beneath the Isle of Dorn, journeying ever deeper into the darkness in their search for adventure, curiosities and trade.
  2. We have recently began to expand the Dunechester to offer Vulpera cuisine across several different events and opportunities! This week, we will spend some of our time at Kosh’Harg to honor the Orc traditions and offer a Vulpera menu that was uniquely influenced by Orcish taste buds and food customs!
  3. On the 23rd of April, we will be holding the Arena of the Sand! It will be a brawling event with a surprise prize at the end, courtesy of yours truly! We want people from all professions and walks of life - warriors, engineers, wizards - to compete in the tournament and make for an unforgetable evening. We’ll also be serving food and drinks, as well as play some music during the event! Drop by and celebrate the spirit of competition!
  4. We’re currently planning for multiple adventures down in the deeps of Azj-Kahet! If you want to join us, feel free to approach any of us.

As always, we hope you’ll have a good month!

*Khaz Algar has been left behind, the Scavengers’ minds filled with tales of adventure, their wagons with riches obtained from the depths of Azeroth. With trade partners made among the Nerubians and a trade outpost settled in Hallowfall, they have alteast left a marking imprint for them to return !

Though the goodbyes were harsh, some might even say a true fighting experience, they have sailed back to Orgrimmar and settled in their over-growing outpost, ready to plan their next adventures and fulfil contracts the efficient ways only a vulpera knows how !

OOC :

  • We have finished our expedition on the Isle of Dorn. That sure was something, and sadly kept us a little bit isolated in day to day life of the server. But we’re back to Orgrimmar for the time being !
Make sure to come along if you want to enjoy some city life, or got event ideas you need strong paws for !
  • The Dunechester has been BOOMING with our friends and clients in Undermine ! The biggest of shout-outs to the community there, you guys are amazing and it’s a joy to see the bustle every Monday !
We will be soon moving to another location, and shall do so every month. We will keep you all updated, mostly through Argent Archives and our Discord posts.
  • TOMORROW ! Our Arena of the Sands event will be held at the arena of the Scorched Sands Outpost ! Sure it’s mostly a Scavengers thing, but you are all plenty welcome as fighters, spectators, servers, healers, anything !
We’ll be trying some tweaks on combat system, and we’d love to have you there to trial yourselves under the setting desert sun !

April is ending but May is soon to start, so we all wish you a nice end of month, and a good next one !

It has been three weeks since the caravan has returned to Orgrimmar. The desert heat and rugged canyons had a strange resemblance to home, yet the absence of a towering snake-effigy was a welcome sight.

While the caravan had pitched their tents in Orgrimmar, they had busied themselves with managing all the organizational work that comes with running stalls, crafting items and hunting for all the necessary ingredients. Not a single day passed by without the clanking of hammers on metal, the scratching of tools over wood or the sounds of someone scribbling ledgers on parchment. While the wagons were being repaired and goods were prepared, the Vulpera readied themselves both for their weekly tavern, as well as travels to new markets and old lands.

OOC:

Hi everyone!

A short and sweet update now that we are heading into the warmer, less busy months of the year! I’m sure everyone is already busy going outside.

We are still around in Orgrimmar and camping in the Valley of Wisdom for the time being and running a lot of social and adventuring events. As some of you may know, we are also holding a weekly tavern, the Dunechester, in different locations every Monday Evening at 8:00 PM. We have been in Undermine for several weeks now, but it might be time for a change of scenery? Feel free to drop by and whisper anyone of us!

We will also be offering our goods at different markets, as well as head out for a new adventure fairly soon! We’ve received a few new Softpaws in recent weeks, so everyone is busy with trials and events! Now is a great time to join up and prove you’re #1 among all those Softpaws!

Anyhow, hope everyone has a good time!

Best wishes

After taking their rest within Orgrimmar for a while, schmoozing around with their trade partners, it is for another adventure that the Dust Scavengers have set sail towards their next wandering.
Adventure, yes, but far from new, as their vessel has landed them upon the shores of Pandaria, a land they have already treaded before. But this is no vacation, merely a further thorough scavenging !
And an occasion to share the delicacies of their moving tavern with the Pandaren, learning of their craft to hone theirs !

OOC :

A little monthly update ! We’ve moved to Pandaria for a quick paced expedition that will see us camp all around ! Maybe you’ll see us around, and you may join into the efforts !

We will also be setting the Dunechester at the Tian Monastery for atleast a month ! Feel free to taste our new Pandaren-Vulpera fusion menu !

It has been nearly a month since the Vulpera caravan had left Orgrimmar for Pandaria. In the meantime, they had done some brief explorations in the Krasarang Wilds, where they were quickly met with a tribe of rather angry Saurok, and rested in the Valley of the Four Winds for a while. Rumor has it some members had thought about the logistics of making a giant turnip wagon, but the idea was quickly discarded

Earlier last week, after a relaxing stay in the Valley, the Scavengers joined the Duskrose caravan setting out from Thundermar. After all, who’s better to lend their expertise to a caravan than a bunch of Vulpera with a fondness for wagons and exploration?

OOC:

Hi everyone!

Our little monthly update. Phew, these always rush past in a flash. Can’t believe it’s already July. As you read, we are currently with the Duskrose caravan and exploring the areas around Arathi with them. You might notice a couple of our people at markets, but most of them are occupied with the caravan until the end of the month.

We have also recruited a couple new Softpaws, and we’re looking for a few more members who want to put an unique spin on our roles and professions! While we have some set roles, the way you fill them and bring them to life is entirely up to you. We have traders, bakers, warriors, wizards, shamans, blacksmiths, and rumor has it we even have an alpaca herder!

If you want, feel free to message me or Khee. Or brave Arathi and find us at the caravan at your own peril! That said, that will definitely be worth some bonus points

You know what they say, never plan a journey too much, there will always be something to derail it completely ! This is what happened to the Scavengers in the last month, with plenty of opportunities arising and taking them away from their planned expedition through Pandaria.
Between accompanying the caravan of House Duskrose and the Trials of the Shu’halo, the caravan had hardly any time to return to their original plan of expedition !

But that stops now, with them finally returned to their camp near Halfhill, setting to making bonds with the farmers and discovering some of the remaining intricacies of Pandaria.

OOC :
Hey there you all, here comes our monthly update of caravan happenings !
And what a month it has been, with so many events to attend with friends and newfound companions across the server ! Saying we got tossed off course of our caravan inner campaign is the least to say, but we’re always plenty happy to run along the server instead !
But we’re now back in Pandaria to continue our thorough exploration of its regions - with a main plot of creating trade routes and cracking mystical mysteries of the land.

The Dunechester is also getting reworked to be held instead once a month. We tired ourselves with it with too recurrent occasions when we’re more an adventurous guild, and so we’re pulling back on it.
But fret not, this reduced time will see us change location every time and make sure to offer a brand new menu every time that will ally the local culture with Vulpera ingenuity - save for Vol’dunshine, we wouldn’t dare ever take this one off !
Check Argent Archives and the common Discords for our location ! And of course, if you need caterers to your events, we’d always be happy for a hire and making a menu specifically in your spirit !

We profitted from those occasions to find a few new Softpaws in need of a home, a Vulpera always works better together afterall !
But do remember, every race is free to join the Scavengers provided they’re not spooked by the lack of comfort that caravan life entails !

So if you want a caravan experience that has fangs, that smells of sand under the ever-moving wheels, and revendicates itself close to the Lore, you know where to find us - just a DM away ! Zuh and I are always at your disposition for a talk and a meet !

The gentle sway of bamboo stems and emerald-green leaves coated the Jade Forest in a calming, almost serene atmosphere. The Dust Scavengers had moved on to the forest a few days ago, making sure to get into the newest leg of their journey into Pandaria proper. Between old temples and peaceful Pandaren villages, the Vulpera experience their culture and learn more about the arts and cultures of it’s people.

However, it wouldn’t be long until the caravan would return to Orgrimmar once more a couple moons from now, preparing for a rather big project with sweat, work and long days beneath the sun

OOC:

Hi everyone,

We’ve been pretty busy in Pandaria lately, exploring the many nooks and small areas it has to offer. We’ve explored the Horde’s recent past in our story evenings, as well as Pandaren culture and spirituality by visiting the local monastery to talk to the local monks and get their guidance.

As some of you might already know, Midnight is getting closer, and with it: housing. Feels almost like it’s been 20 years since we asked for it, right
?

With that, we’re excited to get the planning for our guild base started later this month. Once early access starts, we want to have a little bit of a retreat that fits all our members. Between Alpaca stables, some of our wagons, and a small trading hub, we want to make sure all our members have a nice, cozy space to call home inbetween warm campfires, wagon homes and tropical Durotar coastlines.

If you want to get involved in the planning, do shoot any Dust Scavenger a message in-game! Every guild member - from Softpaw to Silverfang - will be involved when we start the discussion at the end of this month, so you don’t have to worry about being new. Come and join us as we’re starting on this adventure!

Pandaria yet thrums with the activity of the caravan, their camp abuzz with preparations for the next leg of their journey through the Pandaren homeland. The next step will definitely not be as verdant and pleasant as the Forest
And so they profit of the last moments of respite.
But movement is still abound, as the caravan has departed to join into the orcish celebrations of the Kosh’harg. Occasions to learn, occasions to rest, occasions to sell !
And in their outpost of Orgrimmar, new plans are being drafted
Memorabilia from Vol’dun, woods of home, woven alpaca rugs
 Stacks of lumber accumulate
 Plans are afoot !

OOC :

Hey there people, here comes the monthly update !

We’re still in Pandaria as we continue our thorough exploration of the continent. We’re taking long, we know, but we’re afterall looking at an entire continent, not a little region hah !
Feel free to come hang around, good food and ale is best shared in company !

As many will also do, we’ll be attending the Kosh’harg this coming week, and we intend to open the Dunechester again at the occasion of the market at its end. Come get your fill of Vulpera-orc fusion, we got meals, we got drinks, we got treats to go !
And that’s without counting the other miscellany stalls we might open !

Lastly, as mentionned by Zuh last month, we’ve been already organizing some plans for our future housing district. The idea is to create a welcoming trading hub flavoured around the Vulperas, of course integrating adaptability to our Horde allies, and from which we can keep making grow the culture of this race we love so much !
Always more info will be coming as we get to know more about the intricacies of housing, but we have big plans for it, and every race of the Horde is welcome to be part of this journey !

The Discord itself is getting filled with Vulpera headcanon to devour and embody ! Whether you want to be a light and sand-wielding Chainbreaker (our take on Vulpera paladins) , a stargazing Dustbloom (our take on Vulpera druids), or any other flavour of Lore that can be brought to the Vulperas, the Dust Scavengers are here for you to join and show your creativity !
It’s just a message or a meeting away !

As the months slowly start rolling over the continents of Ayeroth, the quiet and cold autumn months begin to set over most people. As a wandering caravan, the Scavengers are no exception to this rule. Quietly busying themselves, the Vulpera start preparing the Vol’dunshine rations for the winter to be drunk on quiet nights near the fire. Wagon tyres are reinforced for the muddy roads across much of the countryside, being painted in an extra layer of protection and reinforced with a couple of steel parts from the local smith.

There was a silent, yet purposeful eagerness across the camp as everyone prepared for one more winter ahead. This had never been an issue in Vol’dun, where temperatures remained steady for most of the year, but being out in the open had not only brought cosy Winter’s Veil traditions with them for the past few years.

Hi everyone!

Can’t believe it is already nearly November. 2025 certainly went by in a bit of a flash!

For most of this past month, we’ve been preparing and devouring all the information we can for the new housing project, trying to make plans and discuss ideas to bring a Vulpera caravan to life despite the limited amount of Vulpera-themed items currently on the PTR. We’ve also been dabbling with the feature on the latter to try and find our bearings to kick-start construction later this year!

As November approaches, we are currently finishing the last few of our events this year, mostly themed around Hallow’s End, as well as tying up a couple of loose ends from throughout this year. Once we are finished in 3-4 weeks, we want to focus on housing, as well as wind it down just a tad and take a short Christmas break throughout December. While smaller stuff is still ongoing and there’s always someone to chat with, a lot of people (including me!) will be travelling for Christmas. So we’re taking a few weeks to rest, relax, and start with a new housing area in 2026!

However, we are always looking for people to join up! At the moment, we are allocating spots as well as finalising the plans for the housing, and we always love more input from new faces as well as old people returning to the caravan! We still have a few exciting events planned for the next few weeks, so despite our short Christmas break, there is still enough excitement for new paws for the rest of 2025!

We’re always happy to meet new faces! Come on down to the caravan for some Vol’dunshine and some Vulpera-themed Hallow’s End stories!
