[H-RP] The Far Reach - Horde Military Artefact Hunting Expedition

“As promised.”, the Pathfinder said and lied out the last remaining piece of the tablet on to the table. He disagreed with the ominous magick the other two radiated, but knew which fights to pick.

The Examiners huddled together to observe the artefact in entirety, half-expecting it to to somehow fuse together on its own and float while speaking the truths of the universe. It did no such thing. It required a price.

The tall blood elf took out his dagger, having skimmed the complete text now to know what it was about. Just a drop of blood, in the perfectly sterile environment–nothing could go too wrong. Right? “Reachmen, prepare yourselves.”

The blade hardly made contact with the skin before the door to the magickal office was burst open by an armoured clad Watchman. “The candles! The light! It is all gone!”

Orders were barked quickly, though mostly people knew which direction to take each. Defenders at the ready, scouts and casters in the back, menders between them and ready to pick those who could still fight up.

Outside, the wind joined the chaos, having completely blown the non-magickal sources of lightning out. Most were enchanted however around the secured Vault where artefacts remained. This time, they were out however – leaving room for shadowed figures to slither closer and circle the wards.

Mystics already reached forward to push them at bay, saying prayers the darkness would creep away from – speaking the truth of the universe and creating against that which sought only to destroy. They managed to buy time. Thankfully, time was all that was needed to allow everyone to prepare.

The Reachmen took their swords, staves, glaives and hammers in hand – prepared to wield their faith, power and magick to defend their home. Are you ready to join them?

OVERVIEW

The Twentieth Expeditionary Company, or commonly referred to as its nickname ‘The Far Reach’ is a military auxiliary unit attached to the Horde army. The unit is currently settled in a base in Winterspring.
From there, the Reach strikes out on missions across Azeroth and beyond.

BRANCHES

The unit is broken up into four unique ‘Branches’ made to specialise and further enhance the Reach’s roster. Every member is asked to choose a path they wish to follow upon reaching the rank of Reachman.

The Watchmen (Order of Soldiers)

When the sword strikes, the Watchmen are there to shield from the blow. Made up of frontline warriors and combatants, they are the first into conflict, and the last ones out. They are the wall that breaks the tide and the armour that shatters blades.

The Pathfinders (Order of Scouts)

Vacant Trackers with the sharpest eyes, the scouts and hunters of the unit. Be it the scouting of enemy bases, infiltration of camps or mastering the art of setting up or dismantling traps, the Pathfinders are the masters of it.

The Examiners (Order of Scholars)

Researchers of the keenest mind, the mages and scholars of the Examiners dig deep into forgotten and hidden lore to find the truths buried within. The backbone of the magickal part of the Reach, tasked with the handling of the artefacts found by the expedition.

The Mystics (Order of Spiritualists)

The keepers of wisdom, the Mystic wields the might of nature, the elements or faith in in the defence and mending of the Horde and Azeroth as a whole. Their first line of duty is to understand the why of magick and to protect.

OOC

We are a small, cosy guild focusing on Horde military RP, and retrieving artefacts. The military aspect is not harsh (we will not ask you to guard a door and yes-sir everything), but still present. Every week we offer 3 DMed events: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Expect a chill, homely vibe OOC  Hope to see you in game!

The Veilbound Vigil had in the past very fun interactions with the Reach and it’s members.

Looking forward to continue on this and for those who seek magical treasure hunting and stories feel free to reach them out

Heading into the Ringing Deeps once more, properly ready to explore and defend Azeroth, representing for the Echoes of the Abyss campaign.

There to provide our magickal expertise and manpower. Cannot wait to start tonight, and to DM.

The Far Reach is currently in Outland in pursuit of a void corrupted Ethereal group and it has been a plot line filled with action from day one. I joined the group not long ago but I have been very warmly welcomed and can’t wait to see how the stories will progress!

Teaming up with the living is always fun when you have a great little adventure to go on. With a mix of necrotic knight and Horde warriors, the ethereals of the void stood no chance.

We had a ton of fun hanging with these guys and we can’t wait for our next adventure with them. Look them up if you are Horde and looking for a great adventure around the place!

That was a great co-op as always! Thanks for the tons of effort put into the campaign. Had fun terrorising both the living and Ethereals. 10/10 would do again.

Lovely people and roleplayers on the red side! Go check them out <3

What a LOVELY bunch of people! No really! I had SO MUCH FUN! during the campaign!

The softhearted Mavican got to do what she loves doing the most: Help the living hands on. We had some close encounters, but we pushed through, together! Friendships were made, stories were told, adventures were had!

I can not recommend these guys enough! Such a great bunch for advanture RP! :purple_heart:

The Reach met with Gearbeast and Grimtusk to seal diplomatic connections, talk business and enjoy the party that had been wonderfully organised. The team had a chance to rest properly before we headed towards Uldum and face threats of a looming danger there. The way is long but orders are orders!

Now on break until 6th January <3 Next year starting strong dealing with a Goblin scammy death cult, followed by a cross-guild campaign and then time-related adventure. (Yes we have our schedule set until mid-February, do not judge)

Bumping these fabulous people! They have cookies and fun times! o7

The Far Reach is currently dealing with a cult. One could think of just another boring storyline with death cultists doing evil things. Until you realise it is in fact Goblin cult of undeath that have messed up with the balance of the world to provide… paid tours to lead spirits beyond veil.

My Death Knight is really, really pissed off.

We got more in the making with the upcoming campaign between three allied guilds! Stay tuned

Last day of our Barrens campaign dealing with quilboar is today. A Horde classic experienced with Grimtusk and Gearbeast❤️. Was one of the first multi guild campaigns ive helped organise start to finish and an utter treat!

Our agenda will then take us to Pandaria, then Suramar :eyes::sparkles:

Played with these guys in atleast two events setup specifically for them and the Veilbound Vigil. We have members span across both guilds from different varieties but work together in some cases to have fun interesting events like the compaigns.
If horde military or artifact retrieval is something to your interests, definitely hit them up for a chat. All their people are wondeful contacts and their officers can tell you all you need to know. Definitely recommend looking into this for Horde side RP ^^

We are currently fighting against strange time anomalies and trying to find one responsible for stealing artefact. Our path takes us to Suramar soon!

The Far Reach is ready for action!

We are still recruiting! Here is our schedule for the next while off:

Finishing up our timeline-related hunt and restoring the bronze dragon artefact, after which we will be focusing on our trials for the people eligible for promotions (these include character-specific tasks to advance within the unit!) then heading to the Badlands for a longer campaign including 5 different detailed factions with a built in rep system and a motorcycle gang. :sunglasses: Finally a reason to use the anniversary secret bike IC.

And at some point in the mean time, attending Kosh’harg. Busy, busy!

If this sounds like fun, reach out to either me or Steelbreaker!

We just hosted promotion ceremony after Far Reach concluded their mission in Suramar. New Examiner solidified her position, new tasks were given and the unit continues to grow and improve together.

Soon we are heading out again, this time a change of pace as we head into Badlands. Everyone is preparing and I’m curious what our main DM is planning for us.

Kosh’harg is also on our list, if anyone wants to say hello while we will be there!

I totally didn’t spend too many hours trying to get fel bike mount just so I can have chance of using it for our Badlands campaign. I also totally didn’t blackmail any guildie I could to help with it. Not at all.

The Far Reach is still in Badlands dealing with biker gang, shadow shenanigans, sneaking into old tombs without causing another war and trying to stop Goblins from blowing up their own city. There is a lot going on and our main DM is cooking! Anyone interested in Reach feel free to give us a poke.
