Appreciate all the love thank you!

The Ashen have enjoyed the last week relaxing and preparing for the upcoming campaign where they will see themselves moving off to aid in the efforts over in the Ringing Deeps.

With the start of the Orgrimmar Brawl Night, multiple casual games amongst themselves and the people of the Valley to keep things entertaining and upbeat it is now time for us to get ready to once again dive and delve into the depths of non-stop action and battle!

We’re looking forward to seeing what is to come on our time away!

Huge thank you to Felentrick for a warm welcome back to Argent Dawn Horde and some helpful information.
Hoping to see more of them and The Ashen ICly in the future!

The Ashen have now arrived in Gundragaz, Ringing Deeps where we will be aiding and assisting the joint operation forces of the Factions against the Void’s creeping influence and army.

How will the Ashen do this time around?

We will see but we know that it is going to be a great campaign and there will be many drinks to have after they have seen it through. :beers:

Is this thing still on?

Awesome…

So since the big campaign has ended the Ashen had a bit of relaxation and recuperation from the extensive battles they fought and justly earned their pins that are rightfully named as; Pin of the Chasmbreaker !

Now relaxing back in Orgrimmar the group are yet to find out what comes next…

Obligatory step in to say that the Ashen will be leaving for our own personalised Campaign up in Northrend come Sunday! We will be gone for about a week potentially a bit more of which we’re uncertain!

For the avid reader I got you. More posted below;

Mission Briefing from Warlord Kragmal

Ashen, it is today you have been briefed on your mission of upmost importance to depart to the Frozen North. Your general has been briefed and here is what is to be expected coming ahead. For many years we held garrison and station in Agmar’s Hammer within Dragonblight since the Lich King’s uprising and now we find ourselves with no news from the stronghold. Once held by the elite of the elite; The Kor’kron Vanguard. There has been little news, word or reports coming from Agmar’s hammer. As far as we’re concerned the location should be brimming for harsher militant training regimes and Scourge-culling to aid the Knight’s of the Ebon Blade. That was the case until two months ago atleast. We have no eyes or intelligence on what is to come nor do we have any idea of what has happened. You will all be deploying underneath the Horde Council’s validity to deploy to Agmar’s Hammer and aid in any enemy approach occuring there. From Sunday Night you will all deploy via Zepplin provided to the Ashen fort and you will make Landfall in Agmar’s Hammer.

Statement from the General

We had already dispatched Scouts to the Frozen North and we have some intelligence on the enemies we may be facing at hand. There are many points of contest and enemies that the Ashen will find themselves facing ahead of. Besieged by an enemy in every point of the compass, we will be setting out to relieve our allies of battle, if any have survived.

  • To the North: at the Obsidian Rest we have news of Cultists encroaching around the area for what reason is unknown we will find that out.

  • To the North-East: We have an assorted bunch of fallen Ren’dorei, Void allies and even some deserters of the Factions have gathered to Galakrond’s Rest which we know was once a point of interest for many. It is to be expected we will be marching on both Cultist and enemies alike.

  • To the West below Azjol’Nerub scouts have gone completely silent. The Ashen will set out to figure out if there are any survivors and what actually happened in this location.

  • To the South; The once held Moa’ki village just before the Harbor has been completely overrun with Scourge forces and led by a Large Undead Behemoth that claims to be a Scourge Warlord. The Ashen will be dispatching the enemy at hand to secure their exit from Dragonblight back to Orgrimmar.

We have our orders, Ashen. Let’s get this done.

Signed; General Telazane.

Horrors of the North Update:

Day One

As the Ashen found themselves entering Dragonblight and wading their way through ghoulish enemies, an empty fortress they started to fear the worse for the troops left at Agmar’s Hammer. It was known Agmar had left to aid the Kor’krons settling in Hammerfall but, he would soon be returning to his post after communications was re-established. The Ashen entered Hammer Fortress and waded through the dead bodies and stumbled upon a barricaded building where they found two survivors. A troll that was some kind of bonesinger and prophet; Zolin and a Frostwolf Orcess Shaman who had been trying to aid in guarding him; Rizhar . After establishing that they was both of the same faction with one another they prepared a summary report and that was when the undead came marching into the Fort. Ren’dorei Cultists came from the North on the hills, Scourge and their Warlord came through the East and to the West the Cult of the Drowned entered as well. Fighting a battle in four different ways each group ended up losing more than they anticipated originally and thusly retreated leaving the battle in a stalemate but the Ashen managed to atleast refortify the keep.

Day Two

After they had all rested and the Ashen had resolidifed their position in the Fortress they managed to call forth their supply runners and grunts to resettle in the Fort. The General stayed behind to make sure everything was sorted and organized though, sent the rest of the Ashen North against the Cult of the Damned in the Obsidian Dragonshrine. The Ashen set out at first and their path took them up the winding roads to which they stumbled upon the after-party of a battle between the cultist and scourge. The Scourge ghouls where cannabalizing the Cultists without giving them a chance to raise up to join their side. The Ashen then charged into battle and defeated the Ghoulish Party and contined up the road until, Zolin had a momentary lapse of auras and was attracted to a tower north of the Dragonshrine. The Ashen then had to make a choice; Do they stick to their mission handed by the General or do they move to this unknown entity in the tower? They decided to choose the latter. After coming up to the tower they made contact with two spirits and a door filled with runes to ward and barricade the entity inside. After procrastinating for a while they eventually decided to open the doors and freed the spirits however came against Raol , a finger and enemy sub-leader of the Cult. After engaging into battle the Ashen dispatched Raol and moved over to Obsidian Dragonshrine although, there was a consequence to their actions. The Cult had managed to raise some of the undead dragons and lead a strafing run and charge against Agmar’s Hammer slaughtering most of their day two arrivals to the Fort and leaving the General in bad shape as he had to fight against the newly empowered Cult. The General and some of the remaining Ashen grunts managed to push up to the Obsidian Dragonshrine before the main body of the Ashen had finished their battle, clearing the Cultists out. Though some of the cultists have escaped and thusly, the enemy forces are empowered and the newly raised Obsidian Dragons are surely going to cause problems.

Day Three

The Ashen have decided to remain at the fort and refortify all that was lost. Now scavenging for supplies, tending to their wounded allies and licking their wounds before they look for the next battle.

Horrors of the North: Cour 2

Day Four

The Ashen moved up towards Galakrond’s Rest where they had heard of enemy movement from the Voidsworn and deserters of the factions. Finding themselves in an already wartorn field of combat as the Cultists from the Cult of the Drowned swept over the area raining necrotic breath along the people in the campment. A long worn out battle had occurred for the Voidsworn which ultimately led to their demise.
The Ashen arrived upon this scene after fighting off some of the Voidsworn originally who had laid a trap and ambush for oncomers and watched from over the hilltops at the scene of carnage.

Soon enough a portal opened infront of the Ashen and out emerged a group of the Voidsworn who where instantly frozen at the sight of the small Horde company suddenly before them ready to trade blows and before the General could give a command, two of the Ashen’s people charged forth and slaughtered them.
Though, their actions where hasty and they came at a price when they realised the people they had stricken down, knocked back into the pit of the Rest and to the cold earth below…A lot of them where actually unarmed, already injured and some even innocent travellers trying to escape the havoc that had come upon the Rest.
A younger Human Girl, a Human Woman and some of the other Ren’dorei scholars where the ones butchered and this took a heavy toll on all the Ashen that was there.

It resulted in a lot of despair for the group and the Ashen will never be the same knowing that they had dishonored their own name, their own goals and their own purpose of being the ones out there in order to save lives they became the very swords that took innocent lives.
With the General’s fury, the bickering amongst people. Two people decided their fate would do better and deserted. Another two were complete grief-stricken and the rest of the Ashen needed a moment to recuperate.

Once they all got back to base, they managed to find a way to reach out and reconnect with one another knowing that there was not much they could’ve done to stop the moment and that the innocents blood was on their hands and a stain that they need to remove. Regardless of being part of the Horde, Alliance or any other neutral aligned group it was the Ashen’s consolidation with one another that will be worked upon in the future.

Day Five

The Ashen now face their final battle and the penultimate hinge of the assault on the Scourge forces in Indu’le Village.
The Warlord is there, the enemy are there and the Ashen will besiege it alongside allies from other pocket areas in Dragonblight.

Felentrick split the Ashen into three groups. One group would hold the Harbor in defence to make sure the exit was safe and the people in the Harbor was safe. Another was the grunt division who led the main charge through the front of the Village. The third was him and his task force of ten who will move in to clear out from the rear of the Village.

It all led to one final battle amongst the Warlord and the remainder of his elites and with the Ashen now dispatching them and returning those Scourge abominations to the grave, Dragonblight can have a moment to breathe.

We now sail back to Orgrimmar. Passing the trials, the blizzards, the harshest of tribulations and with the loss of fellow comrades who had joined us at the start of our mission.

But it is known that the Ashen walk down a long and brutal path, they somehow always manage to make it through and people question how and why? It is because of the bonds that are forged and bound with one another that allow it to be true.

We have learnt a heavy lesson in Northrend and the Consequences will not sit easily on our minds but we must learn from this mistake and move on to brighter tides.
