Suboptimal is an English speaking “late night” raiding guild, formed towards the end of 8.3 with the goal of getting a raid team together to push into and progress through mythic together in the shadowlands. Since then we have built up our team into a solid core and gotten up to 4/10 M.
We are looking for players who want to get involved with and grow our community, and raiders with a healthy progression mindset who want to improve and be a part of a team. If you’re looking to join a group of active players wanting to push themselves into harder PvE content, with a chill vibe, good banter and a friendly atmosphere, then we might be for you!
The social aspects of a guild are its backbone, so players who want to join as socials or raid substitutes are more than welcome to! PLEASE NOTE: Joining this way won’t prevent you from coming to events, playing content with us or becoming a part of the raid team in future (although you would still have to trial for this).
Applying to join the Raid team will involve a trial process for a period during progression looking at performance and personality fit. We expect that applicants wanting to join the team straight away will have some raid experience although mythic experience is not necessarily expected as we have a variety of experience levels on our roster. Players with good potential, the right mindset and a willingness to improve with us are more than welcome as long as they can perform to where we need them. Once someone has passed their trial they will become a core member of the raid team, with a consistent spot for as long as they are performing well enough to earn it.
We are currently looking to recruit:
- A DPS warrior (multispec player preferred)
- 2 other DPS (no particular specs needed although slight preference for DK, Balance Druid and Warlock. All welcome to apply!)
- (A player interested in Tanking M+ would be particularly appreciated but is far from expected
Expectations for raiders:
- Keep your main maintained to a raid ready level
- Come with a good progression mindset and cooperate with raid leadership
- Try to improve your own performance to help the raid succeed
- Attend consistently (sometimes things come up though, that’s fine
) - Perform well enough to contribute to the raid and not detract from it
- Respect each other’s time
Raid times:
- Monday 22:00-01:00 ST
- Thursday 22:00-01:00 ST
- Ocasional, optional off raids (eg for farm content or alts), usually on Saturday at similar times
Other Content:
- M+: Many of our players are interested in running M+ dungeons and pushing keys in this expansion, so if this is something you enjoy you will find like minded players here
- PvP: After the start of shadowlands we seem to have had a slowly growing interest in doing some pvp in our guild. We do some guild RBG’s semi consistently and there are usually people up for doing some arena.
- Other games: Many of us play a variety of other games as well as wow, and often get into new games together
- Collectors: We don’t currently organise collectors events in the guild but i get the impression there is some appetite for it under the surface so you can probably find people who share your interest in wow’s variety of non combat content
