Who we are
Vanguard are a raiding guild a core base predominantly from the United Kingdom. We have a very active guild and Discord which we use to enjoy playing more than World of Warcraft together (Games such as halo/AOE2, or anything that tickles our fancy). The majority of our player base are aged 25+ and in full time work or education. Our ethos is we wish to progress through all the content classic has to offer, whilst respecting that we are no longer teenagers with unlimited time for the game. We like to think of ourselves as a community of friends first and foremost, however we wish to hold ourselves to a high raid standard.
Raiding
We currently Raid Molten Core on Sundays 20:00 - 23:00. We raid Onyxia midweek and use our discord to determine a good day for everyone within the 5 day lockout period. Going into the new year we are aiming to reduce our MC clear times to allow us to clear MC + Onyxia within the same 3 hour raid window.
Loot
Loot within the guild will be distributed using the EPGP System. All EPGP values are stored in your officer note, which is set to public. The officer team are happy to provide EPGP transaction logs when requested for transparency. We believe in a fair system that rewards those who attend the most. Bindings will go to our Main Tank. Unwanted off-set pieces will be rolled MS>OS+1.
Structure
The guild operates the following structure:
Casual < Trial < Raider < Core Raider < Officer < GM
Positions in raid will be filled according to this priority structure. A trial with the guild will last 3 week during which we will evaluate if we feel you fit our ethos. Core raiders will have no priority on loot over raiders.
What we expect from you
We are a guild focused on having as much fun as possible in the game, however this does not mean you can turn up with no understanding of the fights or your class. You should come prepared for raids with appropriate food/flasks/potions/runes. However we do not expect you to spend 100g a raid night to play, and lesser potions can be accepted as long as you prove it does not reduce our ability to kill a boss. Additionally nothing but changes to general tactics on fights should need to be provided. In the modern age checking wowhead before a fight to know what you need to do is not hard.
We have no attendance requirements but to reach a core member rank you must prove your commitment to the guild by being reliable and communicating well with the officer team. EPGP will provide loot priority to those who attend more.
