Hacker used my payment method to transfer character to new acc

Hi, i make this post to see if somenone else have had same problem as i have and if you did get it sorted out from support. I have made 99 tickets about this so yeah, the support is not happy with me.

I started with wow 2004, my first ever character i made i have been playing ever since. I achieved goals with friends and guild and met so many ppl that i share memories with in this game. So i value my character werry high and i would NEVER ever sell or trade it. My account is unique in that way that i obtained glad title as hunter back then and collected old pvp mounts such as merciless, vengefull, furious, brutal nether drake pvp mounts, this and ALOT more.

I lost my charcater back in 2018-2019, i have been fighting hard to get it back.

I got an answer from support that they believe i/myself did transfer my character to a new account which i have not done. hacker used my payment method to transfer the character, he also made a new account to transfer it to. I did never get a notification that my authenticator was removed or even my email was changed. I was happy unknowing on what was happening to my account. I got back to wow later on and tried to ogin, i contacted support and they said the character belongs to another person now!? I have shown so much information regarding my character and my account. The GM also said that i had 4 other accounts attached to my account that was not even mine. Those 4 accounts were merged together before battle net was introduced. my family members and some friends stoped playing and we merged those accounts under the same battlenet acc back then, long time ago. He said ppl back then sold and traded accounts like if they were candy. So by this it felt like he believes i have been selling and trading accounts and therefor also transfered my own character to a new account to sell it or trade it and that the account is not Comprimized! … I know the name of my character and i can see him in the wowarmory and realm. The guy have even message me ingame asking if i miss my character. The character ment the world to me and i know many of you played since vanilla times know how much we value those accounts/characters.

So if anyone have had a similair problem, how did it end for you?

Well yea, they tend not to like players who continue to open tickets about answered issues.

For an account compromise to be verified the account must have suspicious access. As the account in question has 5 different possible entities affiliated with it I am surprised it’s not been locked down yet. Another reason why we don’t accept account sharing with “family/friends” in case of conflict.

In any such cases the account in question will be:

  • Locked due disputed account ownership.
  • Since Warbands, no character transfers under any circumstances will be honored between BNET accounts.

You won’t be able to get the solution you seek in here from anyone, as I’ve never heard they did tbh.

Hi, well it dont hurt to ask the community since ive seen some ppl have had similair problems with hacker using theire payment. What is wierd is that the guy is playing my character on a new account. Totally different name as me, different country. And stil he play all days as nothing happend. I thought me as a rightfull owner could claim my character back but seems the TOS is working diffrently now, its seems ok to transfer character to a new acc and then let another person play the character even tho the rightfull owner who created the character says its wrong.

A you sure you asked in the correct forums? If you started in 2004, your characters must be on an US account. EU opened up in february 2005.
