Do you think it could be possible?
These two are basically “same” race but one is being possessed by fel magic and the other one has light in it, so the difference here is type of magic in both and few physical attributes like skin colour, eye colour and horns but nothing too drastic, both are sharing same ancestors so genetically it should be 100% possible.
My question is, would fel magic and holy light balance themselves out in a body of hypothetical half-half draenei and eredar? Or both types of magic will coexist with each other driving offspring into madness?
How do you think, what kind of magic this “new draenei” could have? Or how about half lightforge Draenei and half Eredar?
Draenei is just a word, means Exiled/Exiled Ones
Man’ari means ’ Unnatural beings’ or ‘something that is hideously and fundamentally wrong’
The Man’ari Eredar and the Draenei Eredar are the same… Eredar
The Lightforged are infused with the Light, but a typical Exiled Eredar don’t have any more Light than say, a Dwarf, just a bit closer connection (wich can be severed - see the Broken) , but it not effects anyone. A typical Exiled’s proximity and touch is not painfull for a Ren’Dorei for example (see Alleria and Turalyon, they can’t even touch each other without pain; one is Lightforged other is Void infused), nor a Ligforged causing pain to a Fel-infused, like a Demon Hunter or Warlock. A common Exiled Eredar is even less comfortable for a Demon Hunter or a Warlock (more so, back when they crasshed, I’m sure, some eager warlock tried to bind/ensalve the blue Eredar “demons”… or a DH who was around, saw them as invading Demons, Legion trickery)
Now… a Man’ari Eredar is basically a Demon. Nothing more. They could have realtionship (plenty of “good” Demons around, like Matron Mother Malevolance, or any succubus who loves her Warlock 'master" - in fact, one of the main problem of a succubus is the fact, it is not uncommon for a succubus in a mortal’s servitude to fall uncontrollably in love with him or her; this occurrence is not always to the master’s advantage, though, for a devoted succubus can be prone to fits of extreme jealousy, especially when her master deals with those of the opposite sex)
Requires a bit mental traning, the Man’ari Eredar have at least 25K years (or god knos how many, thanks to the Twisting Nether’s wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff…) servitude/indoctrination… or from birth, fed with false history, altered truths about Valen and co
But hey, we seen stranger romances… and grills/boys tend to love the “bad boys/girl” and a hero could sway away a bad guy/girl from the Dark Side…
Possible…
Or it was a good old fashioned r… you know the word
I think its possible for them to have a child together, but it would be half-Demon with some lingering insanity, strange urges, some Fel-potential… maybe some mutations like wings, spikes, claws or reddish hue
We seen stranger Eredar-X combination ( Garona Halforcen is a half-orc half-draenei. And beside the different race, the Orcs were/are like sponges, soaked with Fel. Not full demons, not even the Red Fel-orcs, but enough to show, there is no prob for them to have some unholy child-abomination)
But this is just my two copper
What Zymara said, and personally, even if it would be possible, it’s so special, I’d ask myself if that uniqueness would bring enough positivity to you the player to go through with it? Or if you might as well make a regular Draenei and work more on the personality traits than the genetics, maybe a slightly insane one (like the void loving Draenei above here )
Thats helpful answer thank you.
However i wonder, what would happen with potential offspring if lightforged draenei and Ma’nari eredar would come together?
Since lightforged draenei is a draenei with extra power of light, will offspring still be half-demon?

I like that extra spicy in the character story, to somehow explain why it is that way and not another.
Light is actually not a problem for Demons
Lothraxion is the High Commander of the Grand Army of the Light and he is a Nathrezim (can’t really find any more “Demon” like a Nathrezim, maybe an Annihilan, and once Nathreza was like Argus… Portal Keeper Hasabel describes Nathreza as “once a world of magic and knowledge, now a twisted landscape from which none escape” - who knows, maybe the Nathrezim was like the Eredar, but then became Demons ) and a lightforged, infused with the Light (maybe out of his free will… or against it. Lets not dwell in that)
Half Draenei, half Eredar is like having a half high elf and half blood elf.
They’re the same thing with different names.
All I can say in response to this is
gee whiz
Draenei are those who fled Argus, Eredar are those who stayed .
If you are talking in terms of a half Draenei/half Eredar after the exodus of Argus my main question would be how?
I mean other than situations were it’s forced e.g. Garona, I can’t see when this would happen. The parents definitely would not be loving parents, one is a Demon, one serves the light.
Also with the Draenei being somewhat racist at points e.g. The Broken, I can’t imagine they’d want to keep a half demon Draenei around.
Honestly, in terms of RP I think it’s a very difficult concept to pull off. Really this is in some ways making up new lore rather than working with existing lore which is difficult to RP with.
I just want to note that simple touch doesn’t hurt anyone. Not even velves and LF. It’s a source of magic that does hurt them. Say, velves or undead get uncomfortable and might feel a pretty bad sting when the Light touches them.
But it isn’t like they don’t get healed from it. The whole “if velves and LF make skin contact they burn to a crisp” is just overanalyzing a single line of text that isn’t a confirmed, clear fact and has never been repeated anywhere other then an audio drama.
And in the Three Sisters comic, Turalyon and Alleria touch perfectly fine. On one of the first pages too, pretty hard to miss.
