Halt development halt payments

We are paying customers paying for development and ability to play wow. If you halt development you need to halt payments as well.
We are not donors donating for you to solve internal issues, we are paying customers.

You are a multi million company, pay to solve your internal issues yourselves, we should NOT pay for you.

Yes you are paying for the game and yes you already have bought and received the game.
You still get to play the game which you are paying for, nothing has changed.

If you feel so entitled and feel like you should not pay then there are many free to play options out there for you.

Only you can decide if paying so you can access the servers to play the game without any work being done to enhance the product is value for money, if not, unsub.

Entitled? Whats included in the subscription price is future content and development. They stopped that, so they are taking our money just to fix internal issues not giving us what we paid for

way I see it is, I paid 50 bucks for the expansion with the content they already developed, I continue paying 13 bucks a month for future development and updates, which are now put on hold and simply not happening…

You do not pay 13 dollar a month for future development and updates, if you do then please show me where you found this information.
You pay 13 dollars a month to be able to play on their servers. That’s it.
They do not mention anywhere that if you pay a subscription the money will go to future development and updates.

Wrong, you’re paying a sub to use their server’s to play WoW. You’re not paying for the development. For all they care, they CAN keep it in patch 9.1 forever and it won’t change the fact that the sub is only there to connect to the server’s, nothing more.

Again, no. You’re technically getting what you paid for. You’re able to log on to the game and play it. You’re able to do the content. Them stopping development on the next patch does not affect you playing the game whatsoever.

Exactly, and, again, you are getting what you pay for.

If a company is going through some things and removing the trash, so to speak, then of course it’s going to affect the development of some things. It happens EVERYWHERE, not just in the gaming industry.

If management of a supermarket removes a person who worked there on the tills, then there would be less tills open, slowing things down.

Why is it a problem to defend Blizzard in this sense? They are literally targeting ANYTHING they can just to get a dig, when it’s not true at all.

No, your sub ENTITLES you to play their game on their server’s. THAT is what the sub pays for. You get just that. Stopping development or slowing it down does not stop you from playing the game.

Then you see it wrong. The payment for the expansion is what pays for the patches. Your sub only pays for the servers and your ability to play the game. I seem to be able to still play the game when I want, so I’m sure it’s the same for others.

OP you do realise that the people paying these devs are so rich they don’t even know how much a loaf of bread costs?

They don’t need you to support them in pinching their pennies.

exactly, so halt payments

cringe reply and toxic

So cringe worthy

Get a grip you spoiled brat

People have the right to protest.

You can see from the fact that there are still daily hotfixes that work is indeed still happening on WoW - and not just the removal of certain NPCs, but fixes to mythic encounters and so on.

I am not surprised that less work is happening with everything going on and can only hope that resolution of this awful situation will create a better environment for Blizzard employees to work more happily, creatively and productively.

an honest one with a touch of sarcasm.

one - youre not paying your sub for development, youre paying it to play the game as is, unless they changed it too f2p while i wasnt looking

two - sarcasm aside, ppl do work on the game no matter what you all read, no company would let ppl just sit on their behinds in the middle of a crisis

No, you are not paying for future development, don’t overestimate yourself. You are a client, a client like you pay to receive the product as it is when you paid in the case of expansions, or to get access to a service as it is when you paid the subscription. Paying for a service does not entitle you to have future development because you are not the one who paid for it, the investors and shareholders are the ones who do it, and you are not either of one. They paid for future development because they know people will quit the game if there are no updates, so if you believe the game is no worth your money then what you should do is unsubscribe, asking to be able to continue playing a game that you believe is not worth to pay is hypocrisy, you pay and play, or you don’t pay and don’t play.
