I am working towards getting the rings, however the Quarter ring section where you need to get 4 pieces.
I have all except the annoying NPC who just runs away like a pleb.
Problem is, i finished the assault now, and i cannot seem to find this NPC anymore. this is pretty much all i need now, apart from the rare thats in the rift realm.
Please dont tell me that i have to wait until the next Necrolord Assault to finish this mount quest?
No, you shouldn’t need to wait, he has a medium spawn timer (5-30 mins) and lots people will be after him.
Handynotes say he always spawns at these coordinates 27, 57.
He spawns a little bit down the path towards the tower and then as soon as gets past the gate he starts running.
Combat doesn’t stop him so you need to DPS and move.
He spawns in at least two locations and if you aren’t in the right location he’s dead pretty fast even with people just tapping him once. The more people funnel through the assault the easier he will be to find up. Last night he lived all of five seconds, if that.
I managed to find him running around outside of the Hold after about 20 minutes and got him luckily 
seemed dead on my server as it was only me chasing him
I missed two times
1 someone zerged him in few sec
2 spawned far away and dead before I can find him
3 got lucky
Waited for like 45+min to get that ring.
Meanwhile also got Lil’abom pet

Ok, just not to open a new thread about this mount. Is there any way to drop the first part of “Quartered Ancient Ring” if i didn’t get it in a Mawsworn Cache. I’ve to wait to the next necro assault? :_)
I think your best bet is seeing if you can find someone who has it to share the quest with you. But if you’ve already completed the assault I don’t know if that still works :<
I looted the map and done the quest, but i didnt get the shard droped in the chests over the wall. I think there’s an order to loot the 4 shards and if you miss one you cant get all the fragments. Wow… Thx anyway for you quick answer 
Oh right, I misunderstood what you meant, my bad. If there is an order you have to loot them in that would suck 
hope you find out soon and get it this time around, otherwise there’s always the next assault!
