Hello to everyone
Hope you all are doing good

So Today is the New Year in Iran and since there are a lot of Persian players in wow, Wanted to create a new topic and wish them all a happy new year

I hope happy and great things happen to you guys in this new year (And to other players from other countries)

Yeah actually, It’s somehow like Christmas
People give gifts to each other (And to kids, Mostly money)
and there is a symbolic thing we call "Seven S’s) its a pack of 7 things that start with “S” in Persian ofc and each of them represent a different thing
Like, One of the those things is Apple (“Sib” in Persian)
We put it in a bowl of water, it represents How earth is round and its floating in Space
and … That i can tell you if youre interested
The crazy thing is we had this 7 things around for almost 2500 years, I dont know how those people found out that earth is round and space and …

Well, ancient greeks knew earth was round. As for the space thing, it’s more of a modern interpretation. Many ancient culteres believed that there’s something aroun the earth that it floats in. For example in Bible it’s water and Bible was influenced a lot by Babylonian culture during Babylonian occupation.

Many cultures have some similarities because they just inteacted with each other and myths were for the most part the word of mouth.

I knew ancient people were smart tho, It just amazes me how they did all that, considering they didnt have much of technology back then

Honestly? It’s getting worse each year…
I remember a few years ago, We all would go out, see our related ones and …
And now? Just playing WoW… We just text each other and wish a happy new year, People are less into holidays and new years
