I once got asked by random dude to go with him. (Me blood elf female with bikini plates) he walks around corner and then he offered me 20 gold for dance.
20 gold??? Im not some cheap girl…but as a good samaritan i danced, ignored him and fly away.
Did the same, one day everyone will do the same, and the boost spammers can spam for themself.
Loved when people used trade chat before this clownfiesta, and you could actually read something.
xD yeee. i feel the same. there was always an interesting conversation, or a new player asked for help, or just a bit trash talk ;D or ofc trading stuff

There is an addon for account wide ignore, I know it’s not idea having to use an addon
are you sure this ignores the account? i am using it too. didnt know that

I ignored someone on bnet before and then he ended up whispering me ingame. Everytime I ignored one of his chars he would whisper me on a different one or send letters. I reported it to Blizz but their reply said I wouldn’t get an update on his punishment so I just spend most my time on alts now…I don’t get why a bnet ignore doesn’t cover ingame chars…
Even though Blizz may not tell you of any punishment they used, I am sure the Mods did look into it and took some action.
Don’t let one silly individual spoil your game, play all your characters as and when you want and use the add-on Punyelf linked. If you stop playing how you used to then you are giving the person the satisfaction of making you uncomfortable, like most bullies if you stand up to them they soon go away

On a note to help with the boosting spam: Use keywords like ‘Selling’ ‘Boosting’ ‘Boost’, ‘WTS’ not the actual boosting community name.
there should be different thread with filter words just for bad boy addon to increase quality of life
I hope so. However I wish the block function on bnet wasn’t so easy to bypass. Like if I block someone on bnet I obviously do not wish to speak to them…also when you just remove someone instead of blocking they can still bnet whisper you and then it becomes a whole hassle to get them blocked…

Hold up, i got lost here. Are you comparing WTS boost spam to harassement ?
Blizzard should not officially endorse this kind of thing. If anything they should just put the mounts, achievements, gear etc. in the store directly. The game should not be about afk-ing at the entrance of a dungeon or raid. Even if some people do that, it should not become a core part of the interface like actually doing group content, that would be insane.

When I say account wide, I mean every alt you log on it will add those names to ignore. In WoW ignore works on a per character basis.
So it’s not going to ignore the person’s alts as it has no way of knowing who they are. I appreciate that people would like to be able to ignore at a battle net level where every character new or old would be ignored.

I had to use the addon for a while when I was having some trouble with someone unpleasant and wanted to block them on every alt. It meant at least I only had to do it once xD
It would be nice if they updated the system to at least be an ignore at account level.
