Are there any classes that are especially good against certain others? Or bad?
I know some abilities counter others very well, but are there any cases where if two classes played with equal skill go agains each other you would always expect one to win?
assa hardcounters pretty much everything if the 2 players have equal skill.
Ye, there is that. The ability to reset fights with blind, vanish, or just kidney and los until you get restealth does sound pretty unbeatable. Especially with the dmg assa can dish out at the moment.

I believe a good rogue should always win (almost) every 1v1 matchup (except for maybe Outlaw, I don’t know for certain). That being said, skill floor for rogue seems to be higher than lets say Ret/Frost DK etc.
Also I think Survival Hunters do relatively well still in that 1v1, but I am not sure if thats really a hardcounter.
Also Ret should wipe the floor with every warrior. Everyone should wipe the floor with every warrior.
And I think Feral should wipe the floor with everything except a rogue, but that might be outdated.
Assa into absolutely everything that isnt a dwarf survival hunter.
If you’re talking 1v1, there is this guy “Dalaran the rogue” who has a Youtube channel (I cannot post links on the forum, but just search in Youtube for “dalaran 5v5 duels”) and he organizes 5v5 wargames where people just duel in arena and when one dies, another guy from the opposite team fights him and so on until one of the teams loses.
Most of the players who participate are glads (f.e. Cvark plays a lot there) and sometimes they show amazing skills and 1v1 games.
Currently, Subtlety rogue is one of the strongest for 1v1 and counters almost anything by doing the big burst and getting your CDs one by and restealthing indefinitely.
If you’re talking 2s/3s/solo, then Assa rogue is by far the best and counters almost any team. The one comp that counters Assa is survival hunter and evoker healer as they can rotate CDs to dispel bleeds.
