This issue happens to me last week or two,sometimes right when i enter new zone or when i enter arena im getting hard laggs(i can see chat normal only) i appear as offline to my group ,then few seconds later i got disconect from server,after i get in back its normal for next 1-2 hour,this never happened before.My conection is always stable,i dont believe its addon/connection issue,any info?

A very peculiar issue.
I have noticed the same pattern, and have attempted to troubleshoot it a bit.
I’m mainly affected if my characters are associated with a guild (not all guilds though, but seemingly large guilds). If I’m guildless, the freeze issue instantly disappears. If I rejoin, issue re-appears.
I tried to use blizzards /etrace to track some events, and it seems w/e the loading screen ends, it spams +1000 events of “guild event update” and then stabilizes.
Might be related, although no clue how to realistically fix it, if that’s the issue.

It seems disabling all guild news event fixed the issue for me, which is more of a workaround I suppose.
Not sure why the spam of guild news updates is impacting the application though, since it doesn’t impact the majority of my guildies. Perhaps related to client hardware as well, some ineffecient handling/parsing?

Disabling guild news updates for all event types seems to have worked for me.
Guild panel → Info tab → Guild News section → locate “Click to set news filters” → disable all options.

Leaving the guild “fixes” the issue as well. That said, just noticed you may not be in a guild and if that’s the case, your issue may be different from mine.
I did experience the same freezing/hard lag issue though, until I fixed the guild news updates.

This is the exact issue I’ve been dealing with for weeks now. It’s been so frustrating. Thank you for figuring this out! I’m gonna forward your post in a bug report as well.
yeah,still have same issue,i factory reseted modem,it doesnt help,i will disable all addons and test it now,the thing is that it occurs sometimes once per hour,so u need to take time to try everything…
You’ve given me hope… this has been winding me up ever since the pre-patch. I’ll try disabling my news filters tonight and see if it resolves it. If it does, I’ll do the same as Taizun and forward it to Blizzard in a bug report.

I can confirm, I have 6 second freeze only on players who are in guild with 984 people.
