Hard Mode Molten Core is a Terrible Idea

Heat levels are more than likely not going to be additional levels of difficulty in the sense of normal and heroic etc, But heat level probably is based off actual fire dmg taken throughout the raid, as you naturally progress through the tier and obtain more Fire res on gear, you can progress the levels of difficulty to keep things engaging instead of you out gearing the content massively.

Ofcourse you could craft fire res gear etc and attempt it sooner for additional challenge and seeking reward, but I imagine its something they have in mind for even avg guilds to be able to participate in once people have actually gotten a bunch of gear from the raid.

Now how they handle the reward system of it is debateable. More loot drops is probably the only thing the majority of the player base will accept, they don’t want 2x versions of gear with better stats if they aren’t able to obtain it for themselves by doing the harder content. So there goes that idea. The higher likelyhood is the items that are “Rare” drops from bosses will be less rare on higher heat levels. Think Band of accuria, Perditions blade, BRE, ToEP, Mageblade etc. No one is gate kept from best loot in the game, the same items drop in heat 0 and heat 2, you just have better chance of seeing some of the rarer items on higher heat difficulties. Throw in some random cosmetic item from the raid like Gnomer glasses/ST Pet/Trinket/Toy something with flavour that isn’t a contributor to power creep but cool enough to add longevity to people running it on a “harder” difficulty. The real rewards are the chance of getting the chase items more reliably. But for those that are unlucky or finished with the content there is still something to do there.

Depending on how long they want each raid tier to last, this is the idea that makes the most sense to me.

Also no idea how you are spending 100-200g a night for ST, you pop 2 elixirs and blast the place in less than an hour what are you spending gold on? Feral is one of the more expensive classes if you run everything, Mongoose, Giants, Weap oil, Elixir of firepower, Arcane elixir, dragonbreath chilli, 8 catnip 1 per boss at 45silver a pop, only thing we aren’t using that wars do use is rage pots. but none of the above is required to clear the raid. you can blast the raid with mojo and mongoose + giants and be just fine.
