Since Blizzard WoW Classic HC rules are different from the Hardcore addon, is there a way to keep the “Hardcore announces” and death log while only following Blizzard rules?
I think this is a nice feature, but I want to be able to use the AH or mailbox for instance.

I think if you’re running the HC addon/Deathlog it will ask you on logging in a toon with an unique name for the first time what kind of restrictions you would like to have. If it doesn’t, you can still dive into the settings or reset it.
You can simply say no to restrictions and then the addon functions as an announcer with only the Base HC rules the Blizzard server has.
You can just download Deathlog - it works perfectly without HC addons, and don’t prevent you from using AH, trade with others, participate in dungeons or quest groups, waving at Gnomes and other stuff which “hardcore” players does not like

Announcements work, but the log board seems to have lag. Is it only on me?
Not here, but there seems to be a problem once there has been too many deaths - like the list can only handle so many deaths. Then it starts appending people from the bottom of the list instead of the top.
After doing a /reload ingame problem is solved again - for the next hour or so.
