Hardest Healer To Kill?

Hello All,

What in your opinion for the classes you have played is the hardest healer to kill? And I am asking that question for a general answer, and to take into consideration all aspects of PvP, not just arena. Also if you are attacking healer with other players, which is just strong to take down cleanly?

All responses appreciated.

I’d say resto Shaman because it’s the one that can heal himself the most even while stunned.

Earth shield, riptide ticks, healing totems, nature’s guardian, ooz’s frictionless coating - they all work in the background to limit the amount of damage you take.
Not to mention you can also drop Earth Shield totem in advance if you see the damage coming.

Then against casters it’s even easier. Mages pop combust? Ez grounding totem ciao loser.

Didn’t play much now but last seasons I’d say holy priest.
Instant heals for half hp or full HP with GS.
GFade if anything bad happens.
Can fly up in the air and heal himself to full at any time when not in CC
GS allows him to heal himself from 1% to 100% with pretty much 1 min cooldown
And all of that with very low cooldown so when you finally think you can get him when he gets out of cooldowns and kill him, nope, res legendary and he is back to full HP (he will insta fade and top himself unless you somehow manage to get him) and then all CDs are back too

eh, what?

Aside from earth shield being dispelled all day anyways, resto shamans have exactly 0 defense if they don’t PRE use any of their abilties, while literally every other healer has a def cd that can be used while stunned.

Which dumbo pops combust into a shaman that is not stunned?
Trinket? well combust has lower CD so next time you you can delete instead.
In 1v1, sure you can do that as mage has no stun whatsoever

resto druid that just heals himself (so you cannot catch him off guard with no hots) will be the most tanky healer.
Disc is also up there with 2 school, solid def cds to rotate and dmg reduction applied passively.

anyways it greatly depends which classes try to kill the healer, they all have advantages. E.g. while MW is insanely squishy, they can just run away to avoid all dmg. works well against casters but not so much against crazy mobility classes

This isn’t what I’ve felt playing one. With all the things I’ve mentioned, you get healed passively for quite a decent amount even when stunned.
If you’re not stunned, your healing rotation features plenty of instant cast heals, and by the time you’ve used them all, you’ve most likely succeeded in kiting enough to cast a healing wave.

Again, just personal feelings but casters tend to be more difficult for me as a Mistweaver, especially since BFA because the GCD on Soothing Mist means I have to waste 1,5 second in hardcasting every single time I want to land a big heal because Mistweaver has exactly 0 good instant cast healing ability.
Even Revival, a 3 minute cooldown, doesn’t heal for a lot.
Between the insane pressure of Affliction warlocks and the 6 second interrupts, it’s a tough battle. Especially on Blade’s Edge arena with 0 real pillar.

I myself am thinking its very a hard pick between druid and disc.

Even without hots or being in b form, druids have that conduit that gives frenzy regen and can barkskin. In a silence they can bear form frenzy. Out of a stun they can hot up and b form, hard but a good old MS can counter what they have in a stun. Mobility and cc heavily favours them though

Disc has the two schools, which is huge by itself, but more importantly, the DR. 40% while stunned is good, that with also a 1/3 hp heal when activated. 40% Dr for 20 seconds also, plus another 50% too. And 10% DR on two other abilities. A LoH with penance means heal to near full even through ms is strong. But lack of mobility means even if u survive u chunk through mana and ultimately die anyway.
