Hardest/longest run from a graveyard

Hey peeps, I’m trying to find the hardest/longest graveyard run.

So you die in one area and it’s about 1000 metres to run back to your body.

Would anyone know if there’s an are like this in azeroth.

Many thanks

In the original classic, I remember the Maraudon runs if you died inside the dungeon… My god, so tedious

In Vanilla there was an island off the west coast of kalimdor … could’ve been Sardor Isle which had a really long run.

Also Maraudon as I would inevitably get lost trying to get back to where the others were.

Also, please help my memory, there was a raid/dungeon somewhere that dumped you in Westfall if you died on one of the bosses in Vanilla I think (the graveyard you get dumped in as alliance if the game can’t work out where else to put you).

Classic one in felwood if you fell down from the horde base on some plateau that is defacto darkshore so you have to ghostrun all the way around through ashenvale and felwood back to that spot, jump down and hope you land in correct spot and didn’t miss your body else you have do to it all again.
And even if you succeed there is no real way out other than jumping down further or hearthstone.

In the actual game the worst one I encountered is in Durotar. There is a quest with Burning Blade between Orgrimmar and Razor Hill. The quest mobs have a debuff that is stacking your vulnerability vs shadow damage.
I died there because I didn’t pay attention and got resurrected at the Orgrimmar graveyard and the shortest way to the corpse is running from OG to Razor Hill and back up that hill. No other way to get there (imho)

Vanilla had a lot of really bad graveyard runs.
Dire Maul for example.

Just die somewhere in the middle of the ocean, either the game picks up default graveyard or you have to corpse run for 30min.

mortanis before flying…;/

Any difficult one is retail?.

i once died in blackrock mountain (mind controled to the lava…) when i released my spirit was in feralas…

i took the res sickeness and flew, no way i would walk that long

When I was part of a “For the Alliance” group in private Wrath, we’d wipe at Thunder Bluff.

And were sent to Ratchet to revive.

It took a good 10 mins just to run back :joy::joy:

Can confirm. I once needed to go grab a drink, whilst on my way to the argent tournament. I dldn’t realise just how long i’d been until I came back to find i had flown just North and died. So i am running back on my ghost, thinking I would get back into my body and hearth. That is when I learned your ghost can die of fatigue… I had to take the res sickness.

That sounds an awful lot like one of the Razorfen dungeons, if not both. I can imagine this also applying for Ragefire Chasm.

ungoro crater cliffs if you die half way down xD

I seem to remember the original Deadmines had a similar issue. Your ghost started back up in Westfall and you had to find the right house in and get to the secret tunnel and find your way back to the instance.

That’s what happened to my very first character who fell off Teldrassil and the ghost couldn’t get to her trying to climb down the rocks. I didn’t know about spirit ressing so she’s probably still floating in the sea on Khadgar realm where she died more than 15 years ago.

The run itself wasn’t even the worst part. But you’d always have at least 1 person that gets lost and needs help.

In general the runs back to the dungeons seem to be the most memorable ones for me. Some of them were dreadfully long.
